Overview
A damage and burst build for Arlott focuses on maximizing his physical attack, penetration, and cooldown reduction to enable him to one-shot or quickly burst down squishy heroes.
Strengths
Dominant Early to Mid-Game. Once he gets his first core items like Hunter Strike and Blade of the Heptaseas, he can easily bully most enemy laners and get a gold advantage. His ultimate, Final Slash, has a wide area of effect and can knock up multiple enemies.
Weaknesses
Vulnerable to Crowd Control (CC): Arlott's entire kit is based on chaining his skills. If an enemy can stun, suppress, or silence him, his combo is immediately broken. Heroes with heavy CC like Franco, Minsitthar, or Kaja can completely shut him down and make him an easy target. Lack of Escape: While his second skill, Vengeance, provides great mobility, it is a target-locked dash.
Finisher/Burst
While the standard build for Arlott focuses on a hybrid of damage and tankiness for better sustain, a full-damage, or "one-shot," build is a valid and highly effective strategy, especially for experienced players. This build turns Arlott into a lethal assassin who can quickly eliminate squishy targets.
1 HIT COMBI EMBLEM BUILD
The effectiveness of a build often depends on the player's skill, team composition, and the specific match-up. While Festival of Blood is generally considered the top choice for Arlott due to its synergy with his sustain-focused playstyle, Lethal Ignition can be a very powerful alternative.
Battle Spell
You can use your ultimate and then immediately use Flicker to blink into the enemy's backline, surprising them and knocking up their squishy damage dealers.
Before lvl 4, early-mid game
This combination of items, emblems, and a well-timed skill rotation allows you to capitalize on a more aggressive playstyle and is a great way to use Arlott as a burst assassin. While it sacrifices some survivability, the potential for one-shotting key enemy heroes makes it a very rewarding and effective build in the right hands.
Best With Dyrroth
Dyrroth's primary strength is his passive, which shreds physical defense, and his ultimate, which deals massive burst damage. A skilled Arlott player can counter.
Watch Out For Phoveus
This is arguably the strongest counter to Arlott. Phoveus's entire kit is designed to punish heroes who dash and blink. Arlott's reliance on his Vengeance dash makes him the perfect target for Phoveus's ultimate, which automatically triggers and deals damage every time a hero blinks or dashes.
