Overview
Freya, a Valkyrie warrior, wields a sword and shield that transforms into a battle axe. She is allied with the Frozen Sea Warriors and is an enemy of the Black Shark Pirates. Her passive skill increases her attack speed after using skills and allows her to stack Holy Orbs through basic attacks. Her first skill allows her to leap to a target area to gather enemies; with Holy Orbs, it increases damage and stuns. Her second skill grants her a shield and deals damage upon dashing; with Holy Orbs, it can be used multiple times, with the final hit knocking enemies into the air. Her ultimate skill grants her Valkyrie form, providing a shield and increased physical attack, and her basic attacks become ranged splash damage.
Strengths
She possesses both strong damage output and survivability, making her suitable for both initiating team fights and 1v1 duels. Initially, she was obtainable through a first-time diamond purchase, and after a rework, she became a powerful hero. Even after her stats were balanced, she still performs well in high-elo matches, often playing in the development lane or jungle.
The strongest equipment
Sustained Damage Build (Suitable for the bottom lane/regular matches): Warrior Boots, Battle Axe, Infinity Edge, Blade of Despair, Haas's Claw, Immortal. This build balances damage, sustain, and survivability. Battle Axe reduces cooldowns, Infinity Edge adds true damage, and Immortal provides survivability, making it suitable for most laning and team fight scenarios.
warrior
Warrior Badge: Core attribute points are physical attack, cooldown reduction, and health. Talent choices include Weapon Master (increases basic attack damage), Weakness Insight (increases damage against high-defense targets), and Resilient Body (increases damage mitigation). This build aligns with Freya's warrior role, balancing damage output and survivability, and is compatible with most build styles.
Battle Spell
1. Uninterrupted Surprise Attacks and Finishing Off: Flash can be used in conjunction with Skill 1, "Leap of Faith," to further close the distance with the enemy backline, enabling long-range surprise attacks; it can also be used during Skill 2 combos to add a dash, preventing low-health enemy heroes from escaping with their mobility skills, making finishing off enemies more reliable. 2. Emergency Escape and Survival: She is relatively fragile in the early game and relies heavily on skill damage. When targeted by multiple enemies or hit by a chain of crowd control, Flash can quickly escape the enemy's skill range, compensating for her limited escape margin with her skills and preventing premature deaths that could disrupt her development.
Gameplay
1. Early Game (Levels 1-4, primarily the development lane): The gameplay focuses on controlling lanes and resources. At the start, prioritize clearing the first wave of minions. Utilize the attack speed bonus from your passive skill to attempt 1v1 duels against enemy sidelane heroes. After clearing the lane, farm nearby jungle monsters to accelerate item progression. If the enemy is alone, initiate fights to trade blows; if there are two enemies, play conservatively and wait for mid-lane support before looking for opportunities. The core of this stage is establishing a level and health advantage to suppress the enemy's development. 2. Mid Game (Levels 5-11, controlling the tempo): This is Freya's power spike. The gameplay focuses on pushing lanes, taking towers, and participating in team fights to secure kills. Utilize the attack speed bonus from your second skill to efficiently steal towers, or roam to support the mid-lane and initiate small-scale team fights. When participating in team fights, it's recommended to enter late, waiting for the enemy to use their key crowd control and skills before engaging to increase the chance of getting multiple kills. Actively participate in controlling the enemy's backline to secure economic buffs for the team and use your 1v1 advantage to stall the enemy backline and slow their development. 3. Late Game (After Level 12, Focus on Finishing Off and Maintaining Survivability): At this stage, the enemy team composition is complete, and the gameplay shifts to relying on teammates to finish off enemies. Avoid initiating team fights. Wait for your tanks to draw fire before diving into the enemy backline to target the marksman and mage. After activating your ultimate, use ranged splash damage with basic attacks to deal team fight damage. If things go wrong, use your first skill or Flash to retreat and avoid being focused down. Try to end the battle quickly and avoid prolonging the fight, which could lead to the loss of your advantag
Best With Angela
100% co-op win rate
Freya and Angela are a highly synergistic and powerful duo in MLBB. Angela's shields, healing, and movement speed buffs perfectly compensate for Freya's early-game fragility and lack of sustain. Freya's high single-target and teamfight damage maximizes Angela's support value. Together, they create a crushing advantage in both laning and teamfights.
Watch Out For Dyrroth
20% counter win rate
Dyrroth's high burst damage combined with his slowing effect allows him to quickly break through Freya's defenses and continuously suppress her during the laning phase.
