Overview
Freya is a high risk, high reward fighter who thrives when she snowballs early and uses her dive/stack mechanics effectively. If you master her stack weaving, timing of ultimate, and know when to engage, she can dominate games. But without good positioning or if enemy drafts counter her dives, she can struggle to maintain impact late game.
Strengths
High early game power: She has strong trade potential, can snowball early when played aggressively. Burst + durability combo: When she activates her ultimate, she gains significant shield and boosts to her basic attacks, allowing her to both deal and soak damage. Skill + basic attack synergy Her passive rewards weaving basic attacks between skills, so players who can weave properly are rewarded.
Weaknesses
Falls off late game: Some guides note that as enemy builds scale, her relative impact may drop compared to heroes whose strength curve is smoother. Diggies ultimate, Time Journey, removes all CC effects and grants a temporary shield, allowing Freya to dive freely without being stunned, slowed, or immobilized. This lets her fully unleash her skills and basic attacks during her ultimate form, making her much deadlier and harder to shut down. Additionally, Diggie provides vision and utility that help Freya engage safely. Watch Out For Akai

Akai is a strong counter to Freya because his kit directly disrupts her dive heavy playstyle. Freya relies on jumping into enemy lines to unleash her combo and stack enhanced basic attacks, but Akai Ultimate Hurricane Dance can knock her away or interrupt her combo in the middle of her engage. This not only prevents her from fully executing her burst but also leaves her vulnerable since she has no built-in escape after her leap.
