Overview
Freya is a Fighter hero in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang known as the "Valkyrie" who comes from the Northern Vale. In the game's lore, she is the younger sister of the original Valkyrie, Skuld, and took over her sister's duty of protecting their homeland after an accident occurred. Freya is a melee fighter with abilities that enhance her damage, attack speed, and defense, and she is often played in the exp lane.
Strengths
Immense Damage Output: Freya can deal massive amounts of physical damage, especially in the early to mid-game after acquiring a couple of core items. High Attack Speed: Her passive, "Power of Einherjar," grants her a significant attack speed boost on her next two basic attacks after every skill cast, allowing her to quickly stack damage and effects. Strong Sustainability and Shield: Freya gains a large, scaling shield when she uses her ultimate, "Valkyrie Descent," and also gets shields from her second skill, "Spirit Combo". This, combined with lifesteal from items, makes her surprisingly durable in sustained fights. Effective Crowd Control (CC): She has multiple CC abilities, including a pull effect on her first skill ("Leap of Faith") and a stun/knock-up on her enhanced first and fourth cast of her second skill, which can disrupt enemy formations and set up kills. Mobility and Chase: Her jump (S1) and multiple dashes (S2) provide good mobility for chasing down enemies or escaping when necessary. Excellent Snowball Potential: If she gains a lead in the early game, her strong scaling allows her to quickly become a dominant force that can carry her team.
Weaknesses
Excessive Crowd Control (CC): Heroes with heavy CC, such as Ruby, Fredrinn, Chou, and Guinevere, can easily lock Freya down and prevent her from using her second skill to reset its cooldown. High-Mobility Assassins: Fanny, Hayabusa, and Ling can outmaneuver Freya, who has relatively low mobility, and burst her down before she can react. Burst Damage Heroes: Heroes like Masha or Kadita can deal massive damage to Freya quickly, especially if she's caught off guard or fails to build defensive items. Anti-Heal Items: Items like Dominance Ice and Sea Halberd significantly reduce Freya's sustain by diminishing her lifesteal and spell vamp, which she heavily relies on. Phoveus: His ultimate can be triggered by every dash Freya uses, making him a hard counter. Esmeralda: Her shield can absorb the damage and shields Freya generates, making direct confrontations difficult. Minsitthar: His skills, particularly his ultimate, can easily lock down and counter Freya.
