Overview
Dyrroth, known as the Prince of the Abyss, was born into the Moniyan Empire but was kidnapped early in life. He was raised by Alice and Thamuz in the abyss, trained in darkness and strategy. Over time, he embraced the power of the Abyss, mastering deception, combat, and royal ambition. He now fights to implement a grand scheme known as the "Dawn Plan," turning his fate into one of conquest and chaos. Release Date & Price Release Date: June 25, 2019 Cost: 32,000 Battle Points or 599 Diamonds Role & Specialty Role: Fighter Specialty: Charge / Burst Lanes: EXP Lane (primary) and can also be used Jungle in some setups Passive: Wrath of the Abyss Accumulates Rage as you attack enemies and use skills. Once Rage reaches certain thresholds (bars), your Burst Strike and Spectre Step get enhanced versions. After every two basic attacks, Dyrroth releases Circle Strike, dealing area physical damage and regenerating HP based on damage dealt. Skill 1: Burst Strike Fires a directional burst dealing physical damage and and applying a slow to enemies hit. Its enhanced version (when Rage is filled) extends range, increases damage, and doubles slow effect. Damage decays if hitting the same target repeatedly; damage to minions is reduced. Skill 2: Spectre Step First cast: Dyrroth dashes forward, dealing physical damage to enemies in path. Second cast (Fatal Strike): Locks onto an enemy and hits them multiple times, also reducing their physical defense for several seconds. In its enhanced version, the damage is increased, slows more, and the defense reduction is stronger. Ultimate: Abysm Strike Dyrroth charges and unleashes a powerful slash in a direction, dealing physical damage. Part of the damage scales with the target's missing HP (a finishing mechanic). It also applies a slow to hit enemies, helping him stick and finish off targets. Because of the scaling with missing HP, Abysm Strike is ideal for executing weakened foes.
Strengths
Dyrroth excels as a close range fighter who thrives in extended combat and sustained pressure situations. His passive skill Wrath of the Abyss gives him strong self sustain through Circle Strike which restores his health every few hits and reduces cooldowns of his main skills. This makes him very effective in long trades against other fighters or junglers. His kit also allows him to constantly engage and disengage thanks to Spectre Step giving him high mobility and chase potential. In laning phase Dyrroth can easily dominate the Exp lane because his Burst Strike has long range and area damage that allows him to clear waves fast and harass opponents safely. Once his passive activates he can out sustain most enemies in early fights. He is also strong at invading or punishing slow junglers because of his fast cooldowns and strong burst potential. During team fights Dyrroth can play both as a finisher and front line disruptor. His ultimate Abysm Strike is especially deadly since it deals more damage based on the target's missing health, allowing him to quickly execute low hp enemies or carry heroes hiding behind tanks. His Spectre Step also gives him good positioning power to dive into the backline or escape once the fight turns against him. Dyrroth performs best when paired with heroes who can provide crowd control or sustain to let him freely deal damage. He can initiate skirmishes, chase escaping enemies, and dominate drawn out fights due to his ability to constantly deal damage while recovering his own health. His damage spikes early in the game which makes him a great tempo hero capable of snowballing and taking control before the enemy cores scale.
Weaknesses
Despite his strong offensive power, Dyrroth has several weaknesses that players must manage carefully to maximize his potential. One of his biggest downsides is his lack of crowd control immunity or defensive tools. He relies purely on mobility and lifesteal for survival, which means that once he gets hit by stuns, silences, or knock ups, he can be easily bursted down before using his regeneration or dashes effectively. This makes him very vulnerable to heroes with strong crowd control abilities or sudden burst damage. Another weakness of Dyrroth is his dependence on close range combat. Most of his skills require him to be in melee distance, and his Burst Strike, while ranged, loses power with every enemy hit, reducing its impact in crowded fights. Against heroes with long range pokes or zoning abilities, Dyrroth struggles to close the gap safely. He heavily depends on timing his Spectre Step and enhanced skills to make meaningful trades; missing a key skill or using Spectre Step recklessly can lead to instant punishment. In terms of farming and scaling, Dyrroth can fall off if he doesn't secure early kills or objectives. His power peaks in the early to mid game, but he becomes less dominant once enemy cores build defensive items or crowd control tools to counter his aggression. He also has trouble fighting against tanky heroes with sustain or shields since his kit lacks pure burst after his combo. Team fight positioning is another major challenge. Dyrroth tends to dive into the enemy backline, which often leaves him isolated and focused down if his team cannot follow up. He needs proper coordination and timing to enter fights safely. Lastly, his sustain from Circle Strike depends on hitting multiple enemies, meaning that in 1v1 fights against burst assassins or duelists who can avoid his skill hits, his regeneration becomes unreliable. These weaknesses make him highly reliant on skill accuracy, map awareness, and timing to perform well in any match.
DYRROTH BUILD
Dyrroth excels as a burst fighter who dominates in close-range combat with high physical penetration and lifesteal. His build focuses on enhancing his damage, mobility, and survivability, allowing him to both initiate and sustain fights effectively. Below is a detailed and balanced build that works well in both ranked and competitive play: 1. Tough Boots Tough Boots are ideal when facing heavy magic burst or crowd control heroes like Eudora, Aurora, or Kagura. The extra magic defense and crowd control reduction help Dyrroth survive early ganks. 2. Blade of the Heptaseas The passive effect deals bonus damage when you haven't taken or dealt damage for a short time — perfect for Dyrroth's ambush playstyle. When paired with his Skill 1 (Burst Strike), this item helps you burst down squishy targets instantly. 3. Hunter Strike The CDR lets you spam your skills more frequently, while the movement speed bonus after hitting enemies makes it easier to chase or escape. This item works perfectly in mid-game fights when Dyrroth begins roaming and looking for solo pickoffs. 4. Sea Halberd It provides solid attack stats along with a passive that reduces the healing and shield effects of enemies hit by your attacks. Since Dyrroth can continuously deal damage through his skills, this item ensures that enemy sustain heroes have a harder time recovering in battle. 5. Queen's Wings The passive, which reduces incoming damage and gives additional spell vamp when your HP drops below 40%, synergizes perfectly with Dyrroth's skill set. It allows you to survive longer in fights and even turn the tide when low on health. 6. Immortality It grants extra HP and physical defense, plus the passive resurrection effect which allows you to re-enter the fight after being taken down. This is particularly useful in clutch team fights, giving your team a second chance to win even if you get focused early. Dyrroth can use his revived form to finish off weakened enemies or retreat safely.
ASSASSIN EMBLEM
The best emblem for Dyrroth is the Assassin Emblem. This emblem helps him amplify his damage output, especially in duels and pickoffs, which fits his role as a fighter who thrives on burst + sustain tradeoffs. Suggested Talent Path (Assassin Emblem) Here are the recommended talents from each tier and how they synergize with Dyrroth's kit: Tier 1: Thrill This talent gives you extra adaptive attack (bonus damage). Dyrroth wants to maximize his damage from basic attacks and skills, so that extra adaptive attack helps him scale stronger in early trades. Tier 2: Master Assassin This talent increases your damage in 1v1 situations. Since Dyrroth often finds himself dueling enemies in the EXP lane, this talent empowers his ability to win those isolated fights. Tier 3 (Core): Lethal Ignition This talent adds burn damage on multiple hits (multiple basic attacks or skills). Because Dyrroth triggers multiple hits via enhanced skills and his passive Circle Strike, Lethal Ignition amplifies his sustained damage over a fight. It makes his combos more punishing. Why This Emblem Setup Works Well Damage Amplification: Since Dyrroth's power comes from combining skills, basic attacks, and his passive, the extra adaptive attack and penetration help all parts of his kit deal more damage. Duels / 1v1 Superiority: With Master Assassin, Dyrroth becomes very dangerous in isolated fights, which is where he often wins lane matchups. Synergy with Multi-Hit Mechanics: Lethal Ignition's burn effect triggers well when Dyrroth uses multiple hits (e.g. Burst Strike, enhanced Spectre Step, Circle Strike). It adds bonus damage on top of his normal burst and helps finish off enemies. Mobility & Execution: While this emblem doesn't provide direct mobility, the increased damage allows Dyrroth to be more confident in diving, chasing, or finishing off fleeing targets.
FIGHTER EMBLEM
The Fighter Emblem is the best choice for players who want to maximize Dyrroth's sustain and durability during extended fights. It enhances his spell vamp, defense, and overall damage — perfect for his aggressive playstyle and constant trading in lane. Recommended Setup: Main Emblem: Fighter Emblem Talent 1: Firmness - Increases Physical Attack, allowing Dyrroth to deal more damage with both his skills and basic attacks. This helps him dominate early-game trades and push waves faster. Talent 2: Festival of Blood - The most important talent for this setup. It gives spell vamp, which lets Dyrroth heal himself whenever he deals skill damage. The more kills or assists he gets, the higher the spell vamp bonus becomes. This is essential for sustaining in fights and surviving ganks. Talent 3: Brave Smite - Restores HP every time Dyrroth uses a skill that hits an enemy. This pairs extremely well with Festival of Blood, giving him double healing sources that make him very difficult to kill in team fights. Why This Emblem Works: This emblem turns Dyrroth into a relentless fighter who can dive into the middle of battles and sustain through damage. The combined healing from Festival of Blood and Brave Smite allows him to continuously engage without relying too much on lifesteal items. It makes him self-sufficient even when facing poke-heavy or sustain matchups. This setup is especially powerful in 1v1 duels or prolonged skirmishes where Dyrroth can fully utilize his passive "Wrath of the Abyss." Every enhanced skill hit regenerates a significant portion of HP, allowing him to outlast most fighters in his lane. If you want a more durable, lane-controlling Dyrroth who can stay on the map longer and doesn't rely heavily on items for sustain, the Fighter Emblem with Festival of Blood and Brave Smite is the most effective choice.
Battle Spell
Dyrroth's optimal battle spell depends on his role (EXP laner or jungler). Two spells stand out: Flicker and Retribution. Each has different use cases, advantages, and strategic impacts. Why use Flicker? As an EXP laner, Dyrroth often faces enemy roamers, ganks, or needs to chase escaping foes. Flicker gives him instant repositioning, allowing him to extend the range or redirect his ultimate (Abysm Strike) mid-cast, catching enemies off guard. It also provides a survival escape, helping him dodge enemy crowd control or burst damage during teamfights. Guides mention pairing Flicker with his ultimate to surprise enemies or correct mispositioning. Many pro Dyrroth builds and guides for lane role recommend Flicker as the top choice because of its versatility in both offense and defense. Usage Tips Initiate Abysm Strike, then Flicker toward your intended direction if the target is moving; this helps land the ultimate more reliably. Use Flicker to dodge deadly CC or engage after your tank or support has opened the fight, giving you safer entry. Always keep Flicker available when diving or forced fights, especially late game when death can decide the match. Retribution (Recommended for Jungle) Why use Retribution? If Dyrroth is played in the jungle, Retribution is essential for faster jungle clear, securing buffs, and contesting objectives like Turtle and Lord. It allows him to maintain pace with opposing junglers and aids in ganks by giving him reliable gold and experience gain. Usage Tips Use Retribution on jungle camps or large monsters to speed up clears and maintain your gold/XP progression. With proper upgrades (Ice Retribution, Bloody Retribution), you can use it offensively to steal buff monsters or finish off low-HP objectives. In mid game, Retribution helps you join fights quicker by ensuring you stay relevant in gold and levels.
QUICK TIPS
1. Master his passive, Wrath of the Abyss. Every time Dyrroth hits enemies with basic attacks or skills, he charges his Abyssal form. When it activates, his next skill becomes stronger—use this timing to maximize burst damage. 2. Use Skill 1 to poke and trigger Heptaseas. Burst Strike is perfect for harassing enemies and activating the bonus damage from Blade of the Heptaseas. Try to hit enemies from max range to reduce their HP before engaging. 3. Time your Skill 2 (Spectre Step) wisely. Don't rush both dashes immediately—use the first to close the gap, and the enhanced second dash (Abyss Enhanced) to burst enemies. It's both an engage and an escape tool, so think ahead before using it. 4. Combo efficiently. Best combo: Skill 1 then Basic Attack then Skill 2 (1st Dash) then Skill 2 (Enhanced Dash) then Ultimate. This ensures maximum damage while keeping your passive active throughout the fight. 5. Take advantage of his lifesteal build. With items like Queen's Wings and Bloodlust Axe, Dyrroth can heal a lot during fights. Don't be afraid to sustain in combat as long as your skills are hitting. 6. Target the enemy backline. Your goal is to eliminate squishy heroes like marksmen and mages. Wait for tanks to engage, then flank from the sides to take out key damage dealers. 7. Avoid crowd control. Dyrroth is strong in 1v1 fights but vulnerable to CC. Consider using Purify or Tough Boots if the enemy lineup has many stuns or roots. 8. Use your Ultimate (Abysm Strike) for finishers. Dyrroth's Ultimate deals more damage based on the enemy's missing HP. Use it as an execute to secure kills or to turn around fights when enemies are retreating. 9. Rotate aggressively in mid game. Once you have two core items (Heptaseas + Hunter Strike), start roaming for kills. Dyrroth's burst potential shines most in 2v2 or 3v3 skirmishes. 10. Position like an assassin, fight like a fighter. Don't dive blindly into team fights. Wait for the perfect moment to enter.
STRATEGIES BY GAME PHASE
Early Game (Levels 1-5) In the early stages, Dyrroth thrives in the EXP lane where he can take advantage of his strong poke and sustain. Use Skill 1 (Burst Strike) to clear waves efficiently and harass melee opponents from a safe distance. Each time you land a skill or basic attack, your Wrath of the Abyss passive charges—take note of this since it strengthens your next ability. Focus on last-hitting minions to get your core items faster, such as Blade of the Heptaseas for early burst. If you are the jungler, use Skill 2 (Spectre Step) to quickly move between camps and secure the Turtle when possible. Always watch your positioning; Dyrroth is aggressive but still fragile early on, so avoid unnecessary 1v2s. Mid Game (Levels 6-11) This is where Dyrroth becomes truly dangerous. With Heptaseas and Hunter Strike (or Bloodlust Axe if you prefer sustain), your damage spikes significantly. Begin to rotate aggressively—don't stay in lane for too long. Dyrroth's mobility and burst allow him to ambush squishy targets like mages and marksmen. Take advantage of brushes and fog of war to surprise enemies, starting your combo with Skill 2's first dash, then using the enhanced version to gap close or finish them off. You can also help your team contest objectives by zoning out the enemy backline using Abysm Strike, which not only deals huge damage but also reduces enemy defense. Late Game (Levels 12-15) In the late game, one mistake can cost your team everything, so be smart with your engagements. Dyrroth's burst remains lethal, but enemies will likely have defensive items or CC abilities ready for you. Wait for the right moment—usually after enemy tanks have used their crowd control—then dive onto the backline. Always target the damage dealers first, because eliminating them quickly can shift the fight in your team's favor. Use Queen's Wings and Bloodlust Axe for survivability and lifesteal so you can sustain longer in fights.
Best With Tigreal
100% co-op win rate
Tigreal and Dyrroth form an excellent combination due to their synergy in crowd control and burst follow-up. Tigreal's Initiate + Knock-up combo (Implosion) gathers enemies in one area, setting up Dyrroth's Abysm Strike to hit multiple targets at once. This combo can instantly wipe out the enemy backline if executed properly. Tigreal also acts as a strong frontliner, absorbing incoming damage while Dyrroth waits for the perfect opportunity to dive. With Tigreal's peel and setup abilities, Dyrroth can focus purely on executing high-priority targets without worrying about being crowd-controlled early in the fight. This duo thrives in team-based skirmishes and Lord fights, where their combination of control and burst can instantly swing the momentum in their team's favor.
Watch Out For Khufra
100% counter win rate
Khufra is one of Dyrroth's hardest counters because he completely shuts down Dyrroth's mobility. Dyrroth heavily relies on Spectre Step to engage and escape, but Khufra's Bouncing Ball ability prevents dashes, forcing Dyrroth to fight without his main mobility tool. When Dyrroth attempts to dive into the backline, Khufra can easily disrupt him with Tyrant's Revenge or Ultimate (Tyrant's Rage), locking him down for his teammates to burst. Khufra's tanky nature also makes it difficult for Dyrroth to kill him early in fights. Since Dyrroth performs best when he can freely reposition and strike squishy targets, Khufra's control and anti-dash mechanics can effectively neutralize him throughout the game. To deal with Khufra, Dyrroth must play patiently, waiting until the tank's abilities are on cooldown before committing to an engagement.
