Overview
Hero Type: Fighter Primary Role: EXP Lane (Frontliner/Sustainer) Secondary Role: Jungler Specialty: Regen/Burst Damage Difficulty: Moderate (Requires good positioning and basic attack timing). Thamuz is a relentless, short-range Fighter who thrives in prolonged battles. His revamp has shifted his focus to a more hybrid playstyle, relying on the synergy between his skills and empowered basic attacks to dish out consistent true damage and sustain his HP. He excels at 1v1 duels, zoning, and serving as a disruptive second frontline in team fights.
Strengths
Incredible Sustain His Ultimate, Cauterant Inferno, grants a huge HP boost, increased Attack Speed, and powerful HP regeneration with every hit (Basic Attacks, Scythes, and Grand Lord Lava procs). He is extremely difficult to kill while his Ultimate is active. Consistent True Damage His Passive, Grand Lord Lava, ignites the target after a few hits, dealing a burst of True Damage. This damage is difficult for tanks and durable heroes to counter. High Mobility & Gank Potential Chasm Trample (S2) is a reliable gap closer/escape, and its cooldown instantly resets if he retrieves his scythes, allowing for double jumps or a quick entry/exit from combat. Excellent Wave/Objective Clear The AoE damage from his scythes (Molten Scythes - S1) and the enhanced attack speed from his Ultimate make him one of the fastest EXP laners for clearing minion waves, jungle creeps, and securing the Turtle/Lord.
Weaknesses
Susceptible to Kiting/CC Thamuz must stay in melee range to deal his damage and sustain. Heroes with high Crowd Control (CC) like stun/knock-up or heroes with high mobility and long-range poke can easily stop him from landing his basic attacks, effectively shutting down his healing and damage output. Vulnerable without Ultimate His power spike is entirely dependent on his Ultimate. Without it, his damage and sustain are significantly lower, making him easy to defeat. Anti-Heal Dependency His massive HP regeneration is easily countered by item effects like Sea Halberd or Dominance Ice, which heavily reduce his healing. Prediction-reliant Mobility To maximize his mobility, he must correctly predict where to throw his Molten Scythes (S1) so he can follow up with a reset on Chasm Trample (S2). Missing the retrieval leaves his S2 on a long cooldown.
EXP Lane Focus
1. Tough Boots / Warrior Boots Tough Boots for CC Reduction/Magic Defense (most common). Warrior Boots for more Physical Defense. 2. War Axe Core damage and CDR item. The passive stacks grant Physical Attack, Physical Penetration, and Movement Speed, which are all vital for keeping up the pressure. 3. Corrosion Scythe CORE ATTACK SPEED. Provides Attack Speed, Physical Attack, and a passive slow effect on basic attacks, making it impossible for enemies to kite him while his Ultimate is active. 4. Oracle Great synergy with his Ultimate and Festival of Blood. Increases all HP Regen and Shield effects, making his lifesteal/healing much stronger. 5. Brute Force Breastplate Grants stacking Physical and Magic Defense and Movement Speed upon using skills or basic attacks, boosting his mobility and tankiness during fights. 6. Immortality / Queen's Wings Immortality for a second chance. Queen's Wings reduces damage taken at low HP and grants more Spell Vamp, making him even harder to kill in duels.

Fighter Emblem
Swift: Grants an increase to Attack Speed. Since Thamuz's passive and Ultimate-boosted sustain are highly reliant on landing basic attacks quickly, this talent significantly boosts his damage and healing output. Festival of Blood: Provides a huge boost to Spell Vamp, which translates directly into more HP recovery from his skills (especially his Ultimate's healing). This is the key to his legendary sustain in prolonged team fights. Brave Smite: A viable choice for a tankier setup. Whenever Thamuz deals damage with a skill, he recovers a percentage of his Max HP. Synergizes with his frequent use of S1 and S2 resets.
Battle Spell
Vengeance: EXP Lane / Frontliner Increases his already high durability by reducing incoming damage and reflecting magic damage back, turning him into a terrifying damage sponge during his Ultimate.
Dominant Phase Guide
Early Game (Strong) His initial clear speed with S1 is excellent, and his innate sustain and True Damage make him a terrifying 1v1 threat in the EXP Lane. Aggressively zone the enemy laner, deny minion waves, and prioritize the Gold/XP Crab. Mid Game (Very Strong) Once he gets War Axe and Corrosion Scythe, his damage and chase potential are maximized. This is his prime time for successful ganks, leading objective (Turtle) pushes, and initiating smaller skirmishes. Late Game (Moderate-Strong) While he still deals high damage, his effectiveness starts to drop off as enemy Marksmen get their full builds and have strong Anti-Heal items. His role shifts to being a relentless disruptor/frontliner who forces the enemy to deal with him first while his team cleans up.
