Overview
Obsidia is an Abyss marksman introduced with MLBB Project NEXT update. Her core mechanic converts damage dealt into Bone Energy, which forms Bone Shards that then fire with her Basic Attacks for extra physical damage giving her sustained DPS that ramps up as fights go on. Shes built for the Gold Lane and plays a finisher damage role with a ranged attack kit.
Strengths
She has reliable poke and shard stacking via Skill 1: Abyssal Bone Needle (low cooldown), plus fast repositioning from Skill 2: Phantom Shadowmeld. Her Ultimate: Hunt of Bone tethers her to a target, blocks their displacement, lets her move through obstacles, and enhances Shadowmeld making her excellent at sticking to priority backline targets. Because Bone Shards inherit a portion of attack effects, she scales hard with utility item effects and becomes a dangerous mid late game duelist and cleaner.
Weaknesses
She needs time to stack Bone Shards, so her early game can feel weaker and she loses value if she cant keep trading to build energy. Hunt of Bone is a double edged engage: it pulls her into close quarters; if she tethers the wrong target or gets focused, burst damage and crowd control can punish her severely. Positioning, target selection, and team peel are crucial miss these and her tether turns into a liability.
Bone Shard On-Hit Build
I picked the Bone Shard Build because it turbocharges what Obsidia already does best: nonstop basic attack DPS that ramps the longer she trades. Corrosion Scythe , Demon Hunter Sword , Golden Staff stacks attack speed and on hit effects so her shard procs trigger more often and shred tanky targets by HP. Magic Boots smooth her cooldowns for steadier pokes and ult windows, Malefic Gun adds safer threat range for kiting and picks, and Rose Gold Meteor gives a clutch shield so she can commit without instantly folding to burst. The result is sticky chase, reliable mid game spikes into late game melt, and enough safety to play aggressively while you clean up fights.
Obsidia custom emblem
This maximizes attack speed for faster Bone Shard procs, boosts your total damage, and adds on-hit slows to help you stick to targets.
Battle Spell
It patches Obsidias limited escapes, letting you reposition during trades or instantly blink after a tether for safer picks
Shardstorm Phase
Once your core on hit (Corrosion Scythe , Demon Hunter Sword , Golden Staff), play for the Shardstorm Phase: shove gold lane for prio, then shadow your front line and stutter step to keep constant basic attack uptime. Weave short trades to build momentum, then commit when enemy hard CC is down, save Flicker to either finish a backline target youve already chipped or to bail if focus turns on you. Open fights from bush , fog so Corrosion Scythe slows stick, kite in small triangles to dodge skill shots, and retarget quickly dont tunnel one tank if a squishy drifts into range. Track comps and flex your sixth slot: Sea Halberd vs heavy sustain, Rose Gold Meteor vs burst magic, Wind of Nature vs crit physical dives. Finally, ping your team before objectives, clear the wave first, and enter fights second your damage wins extended skirmishes, but only if youre alive and positioned to fire.
Best With Lolita
100% co-op win rate
Lolitas peel and projectile shield let Obsidia free fire during trades, while her long stun (Noumenon Blast) combos with Obsidias slows tether to lock a priority target in place. In fights and sieges, Lolita blocks poke and dive so Obsidia can safely ramp Bone Shards, then re engage off Lolitas CC for clean, decisive picks—simple, reliable synergy.
Watch Out For Natalia
40% counter win rate
Natalia hard punishes Obsidias ramping, on hit playstyle by striking first from stealth, silencing to interrupt her trading window, and deleting her before Bone Shards stack up. Flank through fog bush, open with the silence to deny an immediate counter ult, drop Smoke Bomb to make Obsidia hesitate in close range, then finish and slip out.
