heroes with knockback, slow, and stun abilities are effective. For example, Valir can knock him back and slow him, while Kimmy can attack from a distance while moving

Early Game
Thamuz has already have advantage beating heroes to its lane but there are some heroes that can defeat him during early game like silvanna, alucard, yu zhong, and other heroes to prevent your self from getting killed on team fight you should focus on having higher exp and gold from them you should also avoid not using counter items on heroes that has advantage on thamuz
Best With Joy
Joy can only beat thamuz in early game becouse of its outstanding magic damages during early game but when its mid game to late game thamuz can easily dominate joy by using the right item and right combo.
Watch Out For Obsidia
Obsidia can has a advantage when fighting thamuz becouse she can easily kill thamuz with full passive and right item, she also prevents thamuz using from its skill when obsidia manages to hit its ultimate on thamuz.
