Overview

Alice, the Crimson Queen, is one of the most feared beings of the Abyss. Known for her insatiable thirst for blood and dominance over the battlefield, she thrives in chaos and feeds on the life force of her enemies. With her revamp, Alice has transformed into a terror who thrives in long fights, weaving in and out of combat to sustain herself endlessly. Release & Revamp Original Release: July 2016 (one of the earliest mages in MLBB) Revamp Release: 2024 Price: 15,000 Battle Points or 399 Diamonds Role & Specialty Role: Mage / Tank (sustain-based mage) Specialty: Regen, Control, Area-of-Effect Burst Lane: Jungle / Exp Lane Skill Kit (Revamp) Passive: Crimson Blood Banquet Every time Alice hits enemies with her skills, she gains Crimson stacks. Once a threshold is reached, Blood Banquet activates, creating an aura around her that continuously damages nearby enemies based on her magic power and a percentage of their max HP. At the same time, she heals over time, making her incredibly durable. Skill 1: Crimson Gleam Alice fires a blood orb forward, dealing magic damage to all enemies in its path. Before the orb dissipates, she can reactivate the skill to instantly teleport to its location. This skill gives Alice surprising mobility and enables her to chase down enemies, escape from dangerous situations, or initiate fights with sudden gap closers. Skill 2: Doom Waltz Alice unleashes an AoE blast of blood energy, dealing magic damage and slowing enemies briefly. If Blood Banquet is active, Doom Waltz ignites the enemies, amplifying her damage output while also restoring HP to Alice based on damage dealt. Ultimate: Throne of Ruin Alice enters a powerful ritual state, gaining Control Immunity and significant damage reduction while sacrificing movement speed. After charging, she crashes down to the ground with devastating force, dealing massive AoE magic damage and immobilizing all enemies caught in the zone.

Strengths

1. Unmatched Team Fight Presence Alice thrives in prolonged 5v5 clashes thanks to her passive Crimson Blood Banquet and her ultimate Throne of Ruin. She can sustain herself with constant healing while damaging multiple enemies at once. Her presence alone in the middle of a fight forces enemies to scatter, disrupting their formations and reducing their ability to focus fire. 2. Excellent Sustain and Survivability With her passive constantly restoring HP and her Doom Waltz healing her further when Blood Banquet is active, Alice can outlast many opponents. This sustain makes her less reliant on defensive items early on and allows her to absorb a significant amount of damage in fights. While other mages are fragile glass cannons, Alice plays more like a frontline controller who refuses to die. 3. Strong Laning and Jungle Control In lane, Alice can use Crimson Gleam to poke and harass enemies safely while also farming waves quickly. The teleport effect from Scarlet Shadow gives her escape potential, making her difficult to pin down with ganks. As a jungler, Alice's passive sustain allows her to clear camps without losing much HP, giving her efficiency in rotations. Once she acquires core items, she can invade enemy jungle areas and contest objectives without fear of being bursted easily. 4. Reliable Initiation and Crowd Control Her ultimate Throne of Ruin makes her a natural team fight initiator. The control immunity ensures she cannot be locked down during the cast, and the immobilization effect sets up perfect combos for her teammates. 5. Versatile Mobility and Repositioning Through Crimson Gleam and its teleport function Scarlet Shadow, Alice has creative mobility that allows her to engage, chase, or disengage when necessary. Unlike most mages that rely purely on flicker or positioning, Alice can actively manipulate her placement in fights. This makes her especially tricky to deal with, as enemies cannot easily predict where she will appear.

Weaknesses

1. Weak Early Game Presence Alice struggles heavily in the early game compared to other mages and junglers. Her passive Crimson Blood Banquet requires consistent skill hits to activate and is not immediately impactful during the laning phase. 2. High Reliance on Cooldowns and Stacks Unlike traditional mages who can spam skills freely, Alice depends on hitting enemies with abilities to gain and maintain her passive stacks. If she fails to land skills consistently, she loses access to Blood Banquet's sustain and aura damage, significantly reducing her presence. 3. Mana Dependency Alice's skills cost a lot of mana, and she relies on them constantly to trigger her passive and deal damage. In prolonged fights or when rotating early without mana items, she can quickly deplete her resources and become unable to contest fights. 4. Predictable Ultimate Setup While her ultimate is powerful, it comes with clear weaknesses: it slows her movement speed and requires a short channel time before the impact. This means that enemies can anticipate her landing zone and prepare to disengage or spread out. 5. Vulnerable to Anti-Heal Effects One of Alice's greatest strengths is her sustain through healing, but this becomes a glaring weakness when the enemy builds Dominance Ice, Necklace of Durance, or Sea Halberd. 6. Struggles Against Burst Damage Alice excels in prolonged fights, but heroes with overwhelming burst damage — such as assassins or mages with high nuking potential — can eliminate her before she sustains herself. 7. Item-Dependent Scaling Alice is highly dependent on her item build to unlock her true potential. Without her core magic items for cooldown reduction, mana sustain, and spell vamp, she feels weak and unable to carry fights. This dependency also means that if she falls behind in gold or suffers multiple early deaths, her scaling is severely delayed, and she becomes almost useless during the mid game.

ALICE BUILD

This build focuses on balancing sustain, damage, and durability. Alice's new kit rewards longer fights and stacking her passive, so items that increase her health, healing received, and magic power all matter. The suggested build below works well whether you're in jungle, EXP lane, or mid. Boots Tough Boots Reduces the duration of crowd control which helps Alice survive in early fights and helps her stay mobile to build stacks early. Early-Mid Clock of Destiny Provides scaling HP, Magic Power, and stacking passive. Since Alice builds stacks via her passive Crimson Blood Banquet, this gives her strong early-mid growth. Mid Oracle Increases healing received and shields. Vital because Alice's sustain in fights depends a lot on her healing and regen. Oracle amplifies those effects. Mid-Late Glowing Wand Adds burn damage over time, which works well with her AoE skills and helps pressure enemies and reduce their sustain. Late Game Concentrated Energy Provides spell vamp, high Magic Power, and sustain. Good for late fights where Alice needs both damage and survivability. Final Slot / Defensive Mix Brute Force Breastplate Adds HP + adaptive attack + movement speed. It also helps Alice survive when taking damage, especially from burst or close fights. Situational / Alternative Items Winter Crown — If many enemies have burst or high damage, giving you temporary invulnerability or survival window helps. Dominance Ice — Good vs physical damage dealers or characters with lifesteal regen; reduces lifesteal and slows attack speed. Key Build Tips Prioritize stacking Crimson Blood Banquet by hitting enemy heroes with your skills; items that increase HP, healing, and magic power help accelerate that stack effect. In late game, ensure you have enough HP/defensive items so that you can use Throne of Ruin safely — cast it when you're not going to be instantly bursted down.

ALICE EMBLEM

For the revamped Alice, the Custom Mage Emblem is the best choice since it enhances her core strengths as a sustained teamfight mage with strong magic scaling. Each selected talent complements her playstyle in jungle or lane, maximizing her damage output, sustain, and presence in extended fights. Tier 1: Rupture What it does: Provides extra adaptive penetration, allowing Alice's skills to deal more damage by ignoring a portion of enemies' magic defense. Why it's good for Alice: Alice relies heavily on her AoE skills (Crimson Gleam and Doom Waltz) and ultimate (Throne of Ruin). With penetration early on, her abilities hurt more even against tanky heroes. This ensures she remains threatening in early skirmishes and faster at clearing jungle camps or minion waves. Tier 2: Festival of Blood What it does: Grants extra spell vamp, scaling higher with each unique kill. Why it's good for Alice: Sustaining in fights is Alice's trademark. Since she dives straight into the middle of battles, Festival of Blood amplifies her natural sustain from her ultimate. The more heroes she fights against, the harder she is to kill. Core Talent: Impure Rage What it does: Every time Alice hits enemies with her skills, it deals bonus adaptive damage based on their HP while also restoring a bit of mana. Why it's good for Alice: Alice is a spam-heavy mage, constantly casting her skills to poke, engage, and sustain. Impure Rage ensures her damage output spikes while also fixing her mana sustainability problem. This allows her to stay longer in fights without worrying about running out of mana. Rupture makes her early game more threatening. Festival of Blood boosts her survivability in drawn-out team fights. Impure Rage balances damage and mana sustain, letting her maximize skill rotations. This emblem combination turns Alice into a durable, self-sustaining mage who can frontline in fights, soak up damage, and still melt enemies with continuous skill spam.

Battle Spell

The best and most reliable battle spell for Alice is Flicker, as it perfectly complements her initiation and escape potential. Alice thrives in chaotic team fights where she can dive into multiple enemies, sustain through her passive healing, and unleash her devastating combos. However, her biggest limitation is her predictability and lack of reliable disengage. Flicker solves both problems at once. When paired with her skill Crimson Gleam, Flicker opens up advanced mobility combos. For example, Alice can cast Crimson Gleam to position her orb behind enemy lines, then Flicker instantly to reposition into the center of a team fight, before activating her ultimate Throne of Ruin for maximum impact. This allows her to bypass enemy vision and catch opponents off guard. Defensively, Flicker also gives Alice a much-needed escape tool when her skills are on cooldown or when she is targeted by assassins and burst heroes. Since she is immobile without her blood orb, Flicker ensures she always has a way to survive high-pressure situations, such as escaping Franco's hooks, Chou's kicks, or ganks from agile assassins. In summary, Flicker is the most flexible spell for Alice as it adds depth to both her initiation and survivability. It enhances her already strong team fight potential while patching up her mobility weakness, making it the most reliable choice in almost every situation.

QUICK TIPS

1. Stack Early and Often: Make sure you build up your Crimson Blood Banquet stacks by consistently hitting enemies with Crimson Gleam and Doom Waltz. More stacks = more HP and mana, which greatly improves your scaling into mid and late game. 2. Farm Efficiently: Alice's jungle clear is strong after the revamp. Use Crimson Gleam to hit multiple jungle monsters, and activate Doom Waltz for fast clears. Always prioritize purple buff for mana sustain. 3. Use Flowing Blood for Map Presence: Her skill 1 is not only for poke, but also for mobility. You can teleport to its endpoint to cross walls and chase or escape. Always look for creative angles in teamfights using this. 4. Time Your Ultimate Wisely: Throne of Ruin has a powerful effect but can leave you vulnerable. Do not cast it blindly. Use it when enemies are grouped and after they commit key skills, so you can maximize damage without being instantly bursted. 5. Oracle is Your Lifeline: With the emblem (Festival of Blood) and sustain items, you are designed to outlast enemies. Oracle further amplifies your healing, so your priority in builds should always include it. 6. Engage Second, Not First: Let your tank or initiator dive first. Alice shines when enemies are distracted. Enter with Flowing Blood into the backline, then cast Doom Waltz for AoE control, followed by your ultimate for cleanup. 7. Mana Management is Key: Without Impure Rage, Alice can burn through mana quickly. Always keep an eye on your mana bar before forcing big fights. Purple buff and mana regeneration items are crucial. 8. Avoid Split Pushing Alone in Late Game: While Alice has decent wave clear, she is far more valuable in grouped fights where she can hit multiple enemies with her AoE skills.

STRATEGIES BY PHASE

Early Game (0-5 minutes) Focus on Stacking: Your main goal early is not to force fights but to farm and build up your Crimson Blood Banquet stacks. Use Crimson Gleam and Doom Waltz frequently on enemy heroes and jungle monsters to accelerate stacking. Jungle Priority: If you're playing jungle Alice, always secure the purple buff first for mana sustain. Clear efficiently by chaining Crimson Gleam into monsters and teleporting to reposition faster. Avoid Early Deaths: Alice scales heavily with items and stacks. Early deaths delay your power spike, so play safe and prioritize farm over aggressive dives. Mid Game (6-12 minutes) Item Spike Power: By now, you should have Clock of Destiny and Oracle (or be close). This is when Alice starts to become a real teamfight threat. Roam and Assist: Rotate with your team using Crimson Gleam for mobility. Look to join skirmishes and objectives (Turtle, tower dives) since your AoE damage can swing fights. Teamfight Execution: Wait for your tank or initiator to engage first. Then teleport into the enemy backline with Crimson Gleam, lock enemies with Doom Waltz, and activate Throne of Ruin to punish grouped opponents. Sustain Advantage: Thanks to Oracle + Festival of Blood, you can heal massively in fights. Always position so that multiple enemies are hit by your AoE to maximize lifesteal. Late Game (13+ minutes) Frontline Mage Role: With your HP and sustain stacked, you function almost like an off-tank mage. You can stand in the middle of fights absorbing damage while continuously dealing AoE DPS. Ultimate Discipline: Throne of Ruin can decide games. Do not waste it on solo targets unless it's a priority hero (like enemy jungler before Lord fight). Save it for grouped enemies during key clashes. Focus on Backline Threats: Your ability to teleport with Crimson Gleam allows you to dive onto enemy marksmen or mages. Disrupt their positioning, use Doom Waltz to root them, and let your team collapse.

Best With Tigreal

Tigreal is one of the best partners for Alice because his kit naturally sets up her AoE burst. His Implosion (ultimate) pulls enemies tightly together and stuns them, creating the perfect scenario for Alice to blink in with Crimson Gleam and unleash Doom Waltz followed by Throne of Ruin. This wombo combo can instantly destroy grouped enemies since Tigreal holds them in place long enough for Alice's damage-over-time and sustain to kick in. In addition, Tigreal's tankiness allows him to soak initial damage and protect Alice until she's ready to dive. Their synergy is simple yet devastating in teamfights, especially around objectives like Turtle or Lord where enemies are often forced to stay grouped.

Watch Out For Esmeralda

Esmeralda is a very strong counter to Alice because she directly punishes Alice's sustain and shield reliance. Esmeralda's passive allows her to convert enemy shields into her own HP, which means Alice's healing and defensive plays are much less effective against her. In sustained fights, Esmeralda can consistently match Alice's durability while out-damaging her with magic-infused basic attacks. Additionally, Esmeralda's mobility allows her to dodge Crimson Gleam and chase Alice even after she teleports away. In lane matchups, Esmeralda can prevent Alice from freely farming and stacking early, delaying her power spikes. In teamfights, Esmeralda neutralizes Alice's role as a durable mage by soaking up her damage and turning her sustain against her.
