Overview
Thamuz is a Fighter hero known for his high sustained damage, lifesteal, and durability. He's often played in the EXP Lane because of his strong laning presence and ability to pressure enemies early on.
Strengths
Thamuz is a monster when it comes to close combat, using his scythes to deal continuous physical damage and applying burning effects to enemies.
Weaknesses
Thamuz's weaknesses are burst type heroes and Crowd Controls which prevents him from sustaining and healing from enemies. Aside from that, he needs to get close to his enemies to deal a full damage and weak against Range type heroes.
Sustain and Damage
By using this set up you will be able to maximize Thamuz's passive by having a certain amount of attack speed with that slowing effect of Corrosion Scythe, as well as the good damage scaling of War Axe. Using Oracle and Queen's Wings makes you last long during team fights. The last item is conditional and may change depending on on your opponent's line up.
Exp Lane Set Up
For his emblem set, Go for fighter emblem and use Thrill, Festival of Blood, and Brave Smite. This allows him to constantly increase his damage with that adaptive attack from Thrill, while also recovering his HP from Festival of Blood and Brave Smite
Jungler Set Up
For his jungle set up, go for the same Emblem which is fighter. For the talents go with Thrill, Seasoned Hunter, and Temporal Reign. By using this set up you can be able to scale more damage while also farming Jungle Monster faster.
Battle Spell
Vengeance is a good spell for Thamuz because it perfectly matches his play style as a sustain fighter. He thrives in long fights, and this spell make him soak up more damage, heals him back while dealing damage in return!
Early Game
In this stage, Thamuz is a menace in lane phasing so as much as possible try to harass your opponent and deny their minion waves to keep them from getting gold and exp. Just keep an eye on the map as your opponent may prioritize exp lane over gold lane.
Mid - Late Game
Considering is already mid game to late, you should be able to build up his sustain equipments and attack speed. What you're going to do here is to do the EXP laner's job which is to act as a sandbag, sustain your opponent's damage as much as possible and let them waste their skills on you. That way your teammates would shine and will increase the probability of your side to win the clash.
Best With Mathilda
Since thamuz is a close-ranged combat dominant he needs to get near to his opponents to utilize and maximize his damage. The perfect tool for that would be Mathilda, with her second skill "Guiding Wind" it allows Thamuz to get near to his opponents because of its dashing capabilities. Aside from that, it also gives Thamuz a shield which makes him a little bit tough. Mathilda can also can Thamuz out whenever he's already on low HP.
Watch Out For Franco
Thamuz is strong because of his lifesteal capabilities. With Franco around it will be hard for him to sustain enemy's damage when he's being locked down by a strong Crowd Control.
