Dyrroth, King of lifesteal

Overview

Dyrroth, known as the Prince of the Abyss, is a fighter hero in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang who excels at burst damage and engaging fights. Unlike many heroes, he doesn't use mana - his abilities are powered by Rage, which enhances his skills once it reaches 50%. His passive, Wrath of the Abyss, allows him to perform a Circle Strike after every two basic attacks, dealing AoE damage, restoring HP, and reducing cooldowns when enemies are hit. His first skill, Burst Strike, fires a shockwave that damages and slows enemies. When enhanced by Rage, it deals more damage and covers a wider area. His second skill, Spectre Step, gives him mobility - he dashes forward, striking an enemy, and can cast it again for a stronger follow-up that reduces the target's physical defense. The enhanced version applies even stronger effects, making him especially lethal against frontliners. His ultimate, Abysm Strike, is a powerful finisher that deals more damage the lower the enemy's HP is, making it deadly in clutch moments. Dyrroth thrives on weaving in and out of fights, combining mobility, defense shredding, and execution power. He is most effective when built for physical penetration and sustained fighting, giving him the ability to both chase and eliminate targets quickly.

Strengths

High Burst Damage: With his combo of Spectre Step, Burst Strike, and Abysm Strike, Dyrroth can quickly eliminate squishy targets or severely weaken tanks. Anti-Tank Potential: His second skill reduces physical defense, making him a strong counter to durable heroes with high armor. Mobility & Engagement: Spectre Step allows him to chase or escape, while Abysm Strike makes him a strong initiator or finisher in teamfights. Sustainability: His passive restores HP through Circle Strikes, letting him stay longer in lane or in extended fights. Cooldown Reduction Through Passive: Hitting enemies frequently reduces his skill cooldowns, giving him more frequent access to abilities.

Weaknesses

Crowd Control Vulnerability: Being locked down by stuns, silences, or immobilizes can completely shut down his combos and survivability. Reliance on Rage: Without reaching 50% Rage, his skills are noticeably weaker, making timing and preparation key before fights. Positioning Dependent: His ultimate has a short cast time and requires proper aiming - if mistimed, it can miss or be interrupted. Risky Engages: Diving in without backup can leave him exposed, especially against teams with strong peel or heavy burst damage.

Tank/Lifesteal but still huge Damage

This Dyrroth jungle build—Ice Hunter's Tough Boots, War Axe, Queen's Wings, Oracle, Dominance Ice, and Athena's Shield—turns him into a tanky damage monster. It maximizes his true damage scaling with HP, ensuring he deals massive damage while staying alive through lifesteal and high defenses. War Axe and Queen's Wings provide lifesteal and cooldown reduction, letting him sustain in fights and spam abilities. Oracle and Athena's Shield make him nearly immune to magic damage, while Dominance Ice boosts his physical defense and cooldowns. The result? A Dyrroth who tanks everything, heals constantly, and shreds enemies with true damage—perfect for dominating jungle duels and team fights. The only weakness is a slower early game, but once fully built, he's unkillable and unstoppable. Ideal for solo carry potential in magic-heavy matchups.

damage, sustain, and cleanup

The combination of Thrill, Festival of Blood, and Killing Spree from the Fighter Emblem is perfect for Dyrroth because it addresses his core needs: damage, sustain, and cleanup. Thrill (Tier 1) provides a flat bonus to Physical Attack, directly boosting Dyrroth's burst damage and scaling his skills right from the early game. Festival of Blood (Tier 2) grants crucial Spell Vamp. Dyrroth's skills are his primary source of damage, and this talent allows him to rapidly heal when hitting enemies with his abilities. This gives him incredible sustain in the lane and during extended teamfights. Killing Spree (Tier 3) makes him a phenomenal snowball hero. Upon securing a kill or assist, he immediately recovers 15% of his Max HP and gains a massive 20% movement speed boost. This allows him to instantly re-enter the fight, reposition for the next target, or safely escape, enabling multi-kills and making him extremely hard to stop once he starts dominating. In short, Thrill provides the raw damage, Festival of Blood ensures he stays alive, and Killing Spree lets him reset and dominate after every successful takedown.

Battle Spell

Blue Retribution is an upgraded form of the Retribution battle spell, primarily designed for junglers. Like all Retribution spells, it can be used on jungle monsters to secure farm and objectives. However, when upgraded into Blue Retribution (sometimes called Ice Retribution), it gains a unique effect against enemy heroes: it steals a percentage of the target's movement speed for a short duration and transfers it to the user. This slows down the enemy while giving the jungler extra mobility, making it easier to chase down fleeing opponents or escape after an engagement. Blue Retribution is particularly effective for heroes who rely on staying close to their targets to deal maximum damage, such as assassins and fighters like Dyrroth. By combining crowd control with a speed boost, it allows for better positioning, pursuit, and overall map control during skirmishes and teamfights.

Early Game

Dyrroth is extremely strong in the early game as a jungler with this build—especially when rushing War Axe—because his kit and item synergy create a perfect storm of damage, sustain, and pressure that most early-game junglers simply can't match. The key lies in how War Axe amplifies his natural strengths, turning him into a self-sustaining, true-damage-dealing monster right from level 1. First, Dyrroth's passive (Abyssal Power) converts a percentage of his max HP into true damage, meaning every point of health he gains directly increases his damage output. Even in the early game, when his HP pool is modest, this true damage is devastating because most enemies lack defenses like armor or magic resist. War Axe not only boosts his physical attack but also provides physical lifesteal, which means every auto-attack and ability he lands heals him. This creates a snowball effect: he deals unmitigated true damage while constantly regenerating HP, making him nearly impossible to trade with in 1v1 duels. Second, his ability to clear jungle camps becomes absurdly efficient. Most early-game junglers struggle with sustain, but Dyrroth heals through every camp thanks to War Axe and his abilities. His Fury Strike (1st skill) and Abyssal Impact (2nd skill) both contribute to his damage and mobility, allowing him to rotate between camps quickly while staying at high HP. This means he hits level 4 faster than most junglers, giving him an early lead in both gold and experience. Finally, his ganking potential is lethal from the moment he hits level 3-4. When he enters a lane, he can burst down squishy targets with a combo of Abyssal Impact (slow + damage) and Abyssal Rage (true damage AoE). Since his damage ignores defenses, even laners with early armor or HP items (like fighters or tanks) melt under his true damage output. And if they try to fight back, his lifesteal keeps him alive, turning what should be a risky dive into a guaranteed kill or forced retreat.

Mid/Late Game

Dyrroth remains a dominant force in the late game because his build and kit scale exponentially with HP and defensive items, turning him into a tanky, true-damage-dealing juggernaut that most teams struggle to counter. Here's why he excels in the late game: His passive (Abyssal Power) converts a percentage of his max HP into true damage, meaning the tankier he becomes, the harder he hits. Late-game items like Queen's Wings, Oracle, Dominance Ice, and Athena's Shield not only make him extremely durable but also dramatically increase his true damage output. While other carries rely on crit or penetration, Dyrroth ignores defenses entirely, making him a consistent threat even against high-armor or high-magic-resist enemies. Additionally, his lifesteal and cooldown reduction (from items like War Axe and Queen's Wings) ensure he stays alive in prolonged fights and spams abilities constantly. His Abyssal Rage (ultimate) becomes a teamfight-wiping tool, dealing massive AoE true damage that shreds through clustered enemies, while his Fury Strike and Abyssal Impact provide mobility, crowd control, and sustained damage. Late-game team fights often revolve around frontline presence and sustained damage, and Dyrroth delivers both. He can dive into the enemy backline, soak up damage, and delete squishy targets—all while healing himself through lifesteal. Even if the enemy team focuses him, his defensive items (Oracle, Athena's Shield, Dominance Ice) make him deceptively hard to kill, while his true damage ensures he remains a threat regardless of how much the enemy stacks defenses.
