Overview

Grock, the Fortress Titan, is a tank/fighter hero in Mobile Legends, known for his durability and crowd control abilities. He is #44 hero in MLBB which was initially released in 2017. The revamped Grock was recently released on August 6, 2025. After his revamp, he has become even more versatile, allowing players to engage in fights aggressively while maintaining crowd control immunity without needing to stay near walls. His playstyle revolves around creating terrain-based combos and dominating both laning and team fights. [ HERO SKILLS ] 🪨 [Passive Skill] Bastion of Stone: Grock intermittently gains enhanced Basic Attack and Shield. Grock gains control immunity whil having enhanced Basic Attack or casting skills. 🗿[Skill 1] - Mighty Swing : Charges swing that deals damage and also knocks back enemies if there is obstacles (walls, tower) behind them. 🗿[Skill 2] - Earthen Rampart: Summons a stone wall that blocks enemy movement and splits the battlefield, aiding in zoning. Use again will cancel the wall early. 🗿[Ultimate] - Tectonic Charge: Charges forward, damaging enemies. If it hits terrain, it stops and triggers a massive explosion, making it devastating in team fights. [ SKILL COMBOS ] 1. Classic combo: 2nd skill > ULT > 1st skill > Basic Atk 2. But if there is wall behind the enemy hero: ULT > 1st skill 3. Initation Combo (NO ULT): 2nd > 1st skill > Flicker > Basic Atk 4. Surprise Initiation Combo: 2nd skill > 1st skill > Flicker > ULT

Strengths

1. Crowd Control (CC) Immunity: Grock gains CC immunity while casting any skills, allowing him to avoid enemy controls and engage freely in fights. 2. Enhanced Damage: His skills now deal damage based on the max HP of the enemy hero, making him effective against tanky heroes. This is especially true for his Mighty Swing, which knocks enemies back and deals extra damage if they hit a wall. 3. Wall Mechanics: Grock can create stone walls to zone enemies and block paths, making him a strong initiator in team fights. His Tectonic Charge (ultimate) becomes devastating when it collides with terrain, creating a large area of effect. 4. Shield and Defense: His passive, Bastion of Stone, grants a recurring shield and enhances his physical defense when active, making him tankier in prolonged fights. 5. Combo Potential: Grock can chain his skills for powerful crowd control combos. For example, using his second skill to trap enemies, then following up with his first skill and ultimate can lead to significant crowd control and burst damage.

Weaknesses

1. Passive Shield Limitations: His passive, Bastion of Stone, provides a small shield that is often insufficient against burst damage from enemy heroes. This makes him vulnerable to assassins and burst mages who can take him down quickly before he can react. 2. Skill Dependent: Grock relies heavily on his skills to be effective. If his skills are on cooldown, he becomes less impactful in fights. This dependency can be exploited by enemies who can disrupt his skill usage or force him into situations where he cannot engage effectively. 3. Vulnerability to Crowd Control: Although Grock has CC immunity when casting skills, he is still susceptible to crowd control effects outside of his skill animations. Heroes with strong crowd control can disrupt his engagement or escape, making it difficult for him to initiate or retreat. 4. Limited Mobility: Despite his wall mechanics, Grock can be slow to reposition once engaged. If he fails to land his skills or if enemies can dodge his abilities, he may find himself in a tough spot, unable to escape or continue the fight effectively. 5. Itemization Challenges: While Grock can benefit from defense items, his damage output is not as high as traditional fighters. This can make him less threatening in the late game, especially against teams that can withstand his damage and outlast him in prolonged fights. 6. Matchup Dependency: Grock struggles against heroes who can deal significant magic damage or have strong crowd control. For example, facing a skilled mage or a hero with mobility can make it challenging for him to engage or survive in the fight. 7. Size and Hitbox Issues: As Grock builds defense items, his size and hitbox increase, which can make him an easier target for skill shots and crowd control. This can lead to him being hit by more abilities than intended, reducing his effectiveness in team fights.

🗿 EARLY GAME

- In the early game, focus on roaming and ganking. Start by getting SKILL 2 at first and do the wall trick to delay the minion at the first wave. First wave starts at 9 seconds. - Next, clearing the minion wave quickly in Midlane to gain an advantage. Do basic attack so it will also trigger your concussive blast. - Other way around, you can also do BUFF DELAY in enemy blue buff if the enemy jungler is starting to secure the blue buff. Once you lure the Thunder Fenrir (blue buff) to attack you, just block the way using [ SKILL 2 ] in order to reset the health of the Thunder Fenrir. - Use your skills strategically to engage enemies, leveraging your crowd control immunity to avoid being locked down. - Prioritize Drednaught Armor for tankiness.

🗿 MID GAME

-During the mid game, continue to roam and look for opportunities to initiate fights or counter-gank. -Use your wall mechanics to split enemy teams and create favorable engagements. -Focus on securing objectives like the Lord or Turtle to gain map control.

🗿 LATE GAME

- In the late game, prioritize team fights and objective control. - Use your ultimate to dive into the enemy backline, disrupting their positioning and setting up your team for easy kills. - Always stay aware of the enemy's positioning to capitalize on opportunities for decisive engagement.

Best With Pharsa

Pharsa's AOE damage from above can capitalize on Grock's crowd control, making it easier to eliminate grouped-up enemies.

Watch Out For Karrie

Grock has huge disadvantage to Karrie. Karrie can deal true damage, bypassing Grock's high physical defense, making her a top pick against him.
