Grock Revamp OP EXP Guide!!! (2025)

Overview

Grock's 2025 revamp transforms him into a fighter-tank hybrid, scaling his damage with physical defense. His new passive, Bastion of Stone, gives him a shield and makes him immune to crowd control during skill casts. His first skill, Mighty Swing, now deals damage that scales with his physical attack and can knock enemies airborne if they hit a wall. His ultimate, Tectonic Charge, initiates fights by dashing and exploding on impact with a wall, knocking up nearby enemies. This rework makes Grock a major threat, especially to physical damage heroes, and gives him more versatility on the battlefield.

Strengths

The revamped Grock has emerged as a significantly more aggressive and impactful tank, with his strengths revolving around newfound consistency and power. His primary advantage is his new passive, which grants him crowd control immunity with every skill cast, allowing him to fearlessly dive into the thick of a team fight without being locked down. This immunity, combined with his damage and tankiness now scaling directly with his Physical Defense, makes him an exceptionally durable and dangerous hero who can punish both fragile backlines and sturdy frontlines. He is particularly effective at controlling the battlefield, as his ultimate, Wild Charge, now creates a massive explosion and knock-up effect when he collides with a wall, which he can reliably create with his second skill to set up devastating engagements.

Weaknesses

The most significant drawback is the removal of his old passive's passive HP regeneration and movement speed when near a wall, making him far less sustainable and mobile when his skills are on cooldown. This forces a more calculated and less forgiving playstyle, as he is now more vulnerable when caught out of position. Furthermore, his most powerful combos are still highly dependent on having terrain to crash into, which makes him considerably less effective in open lanes and areas of the map. Lastly, while his Physical Defense is a major strength, his new passive leaves him more susceptible to magical damage, making burst mages a serious threat that can exploit his new weakness.

OP EXP GROCK BUILD 2025!!!

This build is designed to capitalize on Grock's revamped passive, stacking Physical Defense with items like Blade Armor and Dominance Ice to maximize his damage and shield strength. The remaining items, such as Cursed Helmet and Immortality, provide him with essential wave clear, anti-heal, and late-game survivability, making him a dominant and incredibly durable EXP laner.

OP GROCK EMBLEM SET!

The Fighter Emblem is ideal for the revamped Grock because its talents perfectly synergize with his new playstyle as a durable fighter. The defense from Firmness boosts his damage and shield from his passive, while Festival of Blood and the core talent Brave Smite provide him with significant spell vamp and healing on skill damage. This combination allows Grock to maintain high durability and sustain in the EXP lane, making him an incredibly difficult hero to defeat.

Battle Spell

Flicker is a crucial battle spell for the revamped Grock because it guarantees his most powerful combo. By using Flicker to instantly blink into a wall, he can ensure his ultimate's explosion and knock-up effect lands perfectly on enemies, creating a devastating and unpredictable initiation tool. This synergy is key to his effective crowd control and team fight potential.

Early Game (Before Level 4)

Your primary focus is on surviving the lane and farming effectively. Use your first skill, Power of Nature, to quickly clear minion waves. You can use its crowd control immunity to your advantage when a fight breaks out, but be cautious as your main crowd control and damage are still on cooldown. Prioritize getting to level 4 as fast as possible to unlock your ultimate. Use your passive defense when near a turret or wall to win trades with the enemy laner, and don't hesitate to use Guardian's Barrier to block their movement and force them back.

Mid Game

This is Grock's power spike. With his ultimate, Wild Charge, he transforms into a formidable ganker and team fighter. Once you've cleared your lane, look for opportunities to roam and assist other lanes. The core combo is to use your ultimate to charge, then quickly use your second skill to create a wall for a guaranteed knock-up, or use Flicker to slam into an existing wall. Focus on securing objectives like the Turtle and pushing turrets. Your primary role is to initiate surprise ganks and create space for your team.

Late Game

In the late game, Grock is the front-line initiator and protector for your team. Your focus should shift entirely to team fights and objective control, especially the Lord. Your immense durability and crowd control immunity allow you to dive into the enemy backline to disrupt their carries. Use your ultimate and second skill to split the enemy team, isolate key targets, or peel for your own damage dealers. Your build and emblem, especially Brave Smite, should have made you nearly unkillable, allowing you to dominate team fights and close out the game

Best With Yve

Grock's ability to trap and knock up enemies with his wall and ultimate creates a perfect setup for Yve. He can force enemy heroes into a specific area, allowing Yve to safely unleash her massive, area-of-effect damage from her ultimate to secure multiple kills.

Watch Out For Valir

Valir is considered one of the best counters to Grock. His Searing Torrent (first skill) can consistently push Grock back, interrupting his Wild Charge and preventing him from hitting a wall to secure a knock-up. Valir's continuous poke also makes it difficult for Grock to get close and initiate.
