The Best Guide to Renovating a GROCK

Overview

Grock is a powerful tank, excelling at exploiting terrain as an initiator and frontline disruptor. He strategically utilizes walls and choke points to gain powerful passive defense and playmaking opportunities. Whether roaming the map or engaging in experience lane confrontations, Grock can swing teamfights with well-timed Feral Charge and Guardian Barrier, complemented by Blink for increased flexibility. He's a remarkably agile and mobile tank.

Strengths

This tank is incredibly tanky when near walls, gaining bonus defense, regeneration, and movement speed (a powerful passive). This hero is a powerful initiator with stun and crowd control abilities. He puts immense pressure on enemies early in the game, and his movement speed is impressive. He can also use walls to block enemies (area/crowd control). Flexible role: Can be used as a roaming hero or an experience-focused laner.

Weaknesses

His weaknesses: Requires a sturdy wall—weak in open areas. His wall is most effective in smaller spaces. However, improper use can sometimes prevent teammates from escaping, leading to serious mistakes. His ultimate requires good aim—it's easy to miss or waste the ability (use it with a wall whenever possible for optimal effectiveness). He's vulnerable to burst-damage heroes (such as Gusion and Dyrroth). He doesn't have any skills that provide healing or shields to his teammates. If used with a full-health tank, his effectiveness decreases in the late game, leaving him with an advantage in the early game.

Best equipment

Speedy Boots: Move quickly across the map, allowing for quicker support or evacuation. Dominant Ice: Deals with lifestealing enemies, reducing enemy healing and increasing allies' attack speed. Shield of Athena: Effectively protects against self-inflicted magic bursts. Antique Breastplate: Reduces physical damage and also reduces enemy physical damage for a short period. Blade Armor: Reflects all basic physical attacks, dealing significant damage to enemies. Immortality: Resurrects once after death, allowing for an immediate escape when combined with an ultimate or flash.

Tank Build

Solidity: can increase his defense Blessing of the Wild: Fast support and team-building Concussive Impact: Increases his damage

Battle Spell

Battlefield Skill: Blink Flash instantly allows you to escape the battlefield, pursue enemies, or quickly engage in combat. Flash combined with your ultimate skill is a perfect way to stun enemies. Combining Flash with a wall skill effectively traps enemies in a tight area. Flash is perfect for surprise attacks and roaming. This battlefield skill is perfect for roaming Grock, and using it strategically can boost his mobility and offensive power.

Operation process

Dominant Phase Early game: Apply strong pressure and roam; utilize walls for defense and organize fights. Mid-game: Use your ultimate and wall traps to initiate teamfights and facilitate team rotations. Late game: Focus on frontline tanking and utilize your wall ability to assist teammates. Walk and fight close to walls as much as possible to increase defense and movement speed. You can use Feral Charge to strike walls, stunning enemies. You can also place Guardian Barrier to block or trap enemies. Combining Flash with your ultimate allows you to launch surprise attacks. Roam to assist teammates and maintain map control, helping them explore brush.

Best With Kadita

When the tank uses the second and third skills to stun the enemy, Kadita uses the skills 2-1-3 to kill the enemy instantly, which is a perfect combination.

Watch Out For Novaria

When the tank uses any skill to stun the enemy, Novaroa's skills will have a hard time killing the enemy and may let the enemy escape. This group is not very good to cooperate with.
