Grock's revamp new meta

ㅤ***ㅤㅤ***ㅤ· 37 views· 31 votes

Overview

Grock is a tank/fighter hero known for his massive durability and strong crowd control. After the revamp, Grock now excels in both offense and defense with better scaling damage and stronger wall mechanics. His passive allows him to become tankier near walls or turrets, while his revamped skills give him better mobility and burst potential. Grock can be played as a roamer or even as an aggressive sidelaner.

Strengths

Extremely durable near walls and turrets. High crowd control with wall block and knock-up effects. Good early-game damage with skill combos. Can disrupt enemy formations and protect squishies. Enhanced mobility for surprise engages and escapes.

Weaknesses

Skill-reliant; ineffective when skills are on cooldown. Struggles against heroes with high mobility and poke damage. Requires good positioning to maximize passive benefits. Vulnerable when isolated from walls or objectives.

Grock's new tank build

1. Rapid Boots - Encourage Boosts movement speed. The Encourage roam effect grants allies additional damage and attack speed—a great fit for a tank/support playstyle. 2. Thunder Belt Gives HP, mana regen, cooldown reduction, and armor. Passive deals extra true damage after using a skill, slowing enemies—synergizes with Grock's skill combos. 3. Dominance Ice Adds armor, mana, and cooldown reduction. Passive reduces enemies' shield and regen effects—perfect against high sustain heroes. 4. Athena's Shield Provides a magic damage shield and high magic defense. Essential for surviving against mage-heavy lineups. 5. Guardian Helmet High HP and HP regeneration—great for staying in fights longer. Helps Grock roam and recover quickly after battles. 6. Immortality Grants a second life with a resurrection effect. Makes Grock even harder to kill during clutch team fights.

I chose Flicker because it provides great mobility and escape potential. It's especially useful for repositioning during fights or escaping dangerous situations. Use it to dodge enemy ultimates or to chase down low-health enemies after a combo.

Battle Spell

I chose Flicker because it provides great mobility and escape potential. It's especially useful for repositioning during fights or escaping dangerous situations. Use it to dodge enemy ultimates or to chase down low-health enemies after a combo.

Early Game (Before Lv.4): Roam quickly between lanes using Rapid Boots. Use Grock's first skill to zone enemies and protect your jungler. Try to delay enemy rotations by blocking jungle paths with you

Tips and Tricks: Always charge Grock's passive by staying near walls before engaging—it gives extra physical and magic defense. Use the second skill to cancel enemy crowd control or burst skills thanks to its crowd control immunity. Time your ultimate to knock enemies into your team or against walls for bonus stun duration. Place your wall behind fleeing enemies to block escape routes or in front of chasing enemies to protect allies. During objectives (like Turtle or Lord), use your wall to zone enemies out or isolate key targets. Abuse bush vision and surprise enemies with combos from fog of war. Roam constantly to apply map pressure—your high mobility allows you to gank mid and side lanes efficiently.

Best With Pharsa

Grock synergizes well with Pharsa. His wall and knock-up can zone enemies perfectly, giving Pharsa a safe space to fully channel her ultimate from a distance. This combo is excellent in both siege and defense situations, creating high pressure in team fights.

Watch Out For Valir

Grock is countered by Valir. Valir's knockback can interrupt Grock's charge and push him away before he gets close. His consistent poke damage also makes it difficult for Grock to engage effectively or sustain in prolonged fights.
