Overview
Aulus is a late-game fighter who becomes extremely strong after reaching his core items and full passive stacks. He deals high sustained damage in close combat and becomes a powerful front-line carry. After his revamp, he scales better into late game and can dominate team fights when fully built.
Strengths
Very strong late-game scaling. High sustained DPS. Strong in 1v1 fights. Good lifesteal and durability. Powerful team fight presence.
Weaknesses
Weak early game Needs stacks/items to shine Struggles vs heavy CC Not strong at long range Can be kited easily
Revamped Aulus Build
This build is used when facing high burst or tank-heavy teams. It increases durability and sustain, allowing Aulus to survive longer in fights while still dealing consistent damage.
Best Revamped Build
It increases sustain, damage, and durability, allowing Aulus to survive longer in fights while dealing consistent melee damage.
Battle Spell
Helps Aulus clear jungle faster, secure buffs, and reach his core items quickly for stronger late-game impact.
Late Game Power Spike
Focus on farming in early game because Aulus is weak before items and stacks. Avoid early fights unless your team has strong backup. In mid game, start joining fights only when your core items are ready. Stick with your team and look for extended fights where you can continuously deal damage and stack your passive. In late game, Aulus becomes a powerful frontline fighter. Stay in the middle of fights and keep attacking constantly to maximize damage and lifesteal. Do not overcommit alone—wait for your tank to engage first, then follow up and sustain through fights. Use your enhanced basic attacks efficiently to melt both squishy and tanky enemies.
Best With Angela
Aulus works best with heroes that provide crowd control and protection. Tanks like Tigreal and Atlas can start fights and group enemies together, allowing Aulus to deal continuous damage in extended combat. Support heroes like Angela increase his survivability with shields and healing, making him harder to kill while he stays in fights. This synergy allows Aulus to fully utilize his sustained damage potential in close-range team fights, especially in the late game where he is strongest.
Watch Out For Karrie
These heroes counter Aulus by limiting his ability to stay in close combat. Karrie deals high damage against tanky fighters, Valir keeps him away with knockbacks, and Chou or Franco can lock him down and stop his damage output. Since Aulus relies on sustained melee fights, crowd control and kiting reduce his effectiveness.
