Overview

The revamped Aulus now unleashes large-scale AOE damage, gaining Control Immunity and the ability to dash. His Ultimate, paired with the extra Movement Speed, allows him to move freely on the battlefield, easily pursuing and taking down enemies.

Strengths

The revamped Aulus is transformed into a "Warrior of Ferocity," designed to be a high-damage, durable fighter with enhanced crowd control (CC) immunity and superior battlefield mobility. He pivots from a purely late-game scaling hero to a more active, disruptive bruiser capable of significant area-of-effect (AOE) damage. Improved Mobility & Dash: The new kit features better dash capabilities, allowing him to chase down targets more easily or escape dangerous situations, complementing his increased movement speed. Control Immunity: A major addition is built-in control immunity, making him harder to lock down during team fights and allowing him to stick to targets, which was a weakness previously. Large-Scale AOE Damage: His skills are designed to hit multiple enemies, making him a menace in team fights and improving his wave clearing/jungle clearing capabilities. Enhanced Sustained Damage: He maintains his identity as a fighter who excels in extended fights, with mechanics that increase his attack speed and damage over time, especially at max stacks. Increased Durability: The updated kit makes him a more robust fighter capable of soaking more damage while dealing it out in the thick of battle, a major shift from his previous fragile state, especially before hitting max level.

Weaknesses

1. Extreme Early Game Fragility Slow Scaling: Aulus is a late-game monster who is very weak early. He requires multiple core items (such as War Axe) and high-level progression (Level 12+) to become effective, making him vulnerable to early jungle invades. Low Early Damage: His damage output is relatively low early on, which can make it hard to contest initial objectives. Need to Close Distance: Despite having a dash on his revamped Skill 2, Aulus still needs to be in close proximity to deal damage. Kiting: Mobile heroes or those with slows/stuns can easily stay out of his range, rendering him useless as he cannot apply his damage. CC Vulnerability: Although he has some control immunity (specifically in his revamped Ultimate), he can still be shut down by heavy crowd control (e.g., Stun, Freeze). 2. High Reliance on Items Item Dependent: Aulus's damage spikes come from having high physical attack and attack speed items. Without them, he lacks damage, and unlike some other fighters, he cannot easily build full defense and still be relevant. 3. Counter Heroes Certain heroes can exploit his weaknesses: High Burst/Mobile Heroes: Heroes who can burst him down quickly before he can lifesteal or escape. Tanky Sustain Fighters: Heroes like Thamuz can out-sustain him in early-mid game fights. Range/Kiting Heroes: Heroes like marksmen with high mobility can keep him at bay.

Sustain Build

This sustain build is best for revamped Aulus because it combines durability, lifesteal, and consistent damage, allowing him to survive longer in fights while dealing continuous damage as his power scales in the late game.

Fighter Emblem

I chose this Fighter Emblem for Revamped Aulus because it provides a strong balance of damage and sustain, which helps him overcome his weak early game by improving his jungle clear speed and trading potential, while also allowing him to stay longer in fights through added durability and regeneration, making it easier for him to stack his power and transition into a dominant late-game fighter who can deal continuous damage and carry teamfights.

Battle Spell

Aulus uses Retribution to accelerate his growth and dominate jungle control, allowing him to reach his late-game power spike faster. Effect: Deals true damage to nearby creeps and jungle monsters, making it easier to secure buffs and objectives. After upgrading jungle equipment, Retribution can also be used on enemy heroes for additional combat effects.

Revamped Aulus dominant phase

While Aulus retains his passive mechanism requiring stacks to reach maximum potential, his revamp makes him effective sooner. Early Game (Passive): Still vulnerable; focuses on farming and securing core items to build stacks, but gains more control with his improved skills. Mid-Game Power Spike (Levels 8-12): The revamp grants him earlier access to damage and sustainability, making him dangerous in team fights earlier than the pre-revamp version. Late Game (Domination): With high attack speed and new AoE (Area of Effect) damage, the revamped Aulus can easily wipe out enemy backlines using his enhanced basic attacks and new dash capabilities.

Best With Tigreal

These tank can stun multiple enemies, allowing Aulus to hit them with his enhanced basic attacks and Ultimate.

Watch Out For Valir

Valir is the best counter to revamped Aulus because his continuous fire damage, slows, and knockback keep Aulus at a distance, preventing him from getting close enough to deal damage.
