Overview
Kagura is a high-skill burst mage known for her umbrella mechanics, mobility, and outplay potential. She excels at poking enemies from a safe distance, repositioning with her umbrella, and bursting down squishy targets in teamfights. Kagura is best played in the mid lane, where she can rotate quickly and control objectives. Mastering her skill combos allows her to deal massive damage while staying hard to catch.

One shot
This is a High-Burst Snowball Build designed to one-shot squishy heroes and shred magic resistance. Core Synergy Early Dominance: Arcane Boots and Genius Wand provide flat Magic Penetration to melt enemies before they can build defense. The Finisher: Sky Piercer executes low-HP targets and scales with kills, making it perfect for snowballing. The Burst: Lightning Truncheon and Holy Crystal provide massive Magic Power scaling, turning your skills into "one-hit" nukes. The Burn: Glowing Wand adds % HP damage and reduces enemy healing, ensuring no one escapes with a sliver of health.
One shot
The Mage Emblem with Lethal Ignition is perfect for Kagura as it enhances her burst damage potential. Kaguras combo can easily hit enemies multiple times in a short duration, allowing Lethal Ignition to trigger consistently and deal extra adaptive damage. This makes it easier to secure kills, especially against squishy targets during mid to late game Always aim to land full combos to trigger Lethal Ignition quickly
Battle Spell
Flameshot complements Kaguras playstyle by enhancing her poke and burst potential from a safe distance. Since Kagura already excels at zoning enemies with her umbrella, Flameshot adds extra finishing power to secure kills when enemies escape with low HP. It also gives her a defensive option, allowing her to push enemies away if they get too close after she uses her mobility skills. Use Flameshot after your full combo to finish off enemies trying to escape Aim from a distance to maximize damage for better kill potential Use the knockback at close range to create space when being chased Combine with umbrella poke to continuously pressure enemies in lane Check bushes safely before engaging to avoid ambushes
Mid-Game Pick-offs & Rotations
The Bush One-Shot: Kagura is most dangerous when unseen. Use the 1-3-1 combo from a bush to slow and burst the enemy Mage or Marksman. If they aren't dead, the Sky Piercer will finish them off as soon as their HP hits the threshold. Safety First: Use your Blue S2 (Escape) to stay safe while your umbrella is out. This build is glass-cannon; you deal massive damage but cant take hits. Only dash in with Purple S2 if you are certain the kill will trigger. Targeting: Focus entirely on the enemy backline. With Genius Wand and Sky Piercer, you can effectively "delete" a squishy hero and then use your mobility to reposition. Snowballing: Since Sky Piercer gains stacks on kills, focus on securing last hits during ganks. The higher your stacks, the easier it becomes to one-shot enemies in the late game.
Best With Tigreal
Kagura thrives on grouped enemies, and Tigreal is the perfect setup man. When Tigreal uses his Ultimate (Implosion) to pull multiple enemies into one spot, Kagura can safely cast her full Yin-Yang Overturn combo without missing. This combination results in an instant team-wipe, especially with your Lightning Truncheon AoE procs and Sky Piercer executing anyone who survives the initial blast.
Watch Out For Hayabusa
Kagura struggles against high-mobility Assassins who can dodge her umbrella. Why Hayabusa wins: Hayabusas Ougi: Shadow Kill makes him untargetable, causing Kagura to waste her burst combo. His shadows also allow him to close the gap or escape her umbrellas tether range easily. Survival Tip: To survive this, Kagura must time her Blue Skill 2 (Purify/Dash) perfectly to escape his ultimate's initial hits and teleport back to her umbrella for safety.
