Marcel, the Soul Photographer, is a unique Support hero in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), released on March 11, 2026. He is the 132nd hero in the game and is characterized by his elegant aesthetic and his camera companion, Clemar, which houses his split soul. Marcel is designed as a frontline controller rather than a backline healer. His ultimate can be used strategically to nullify turret damage during dives, zone enemy junglers from objectives like Lord or Turtle, or protect teammates by freezing them during lethal enemy combos.
Strengths
Marcel's primary strength lies in his unparalleled battlefield control and ability to manipulate teamfight flow through his "stasis" mechanics. Unlike typical supports, his power comes from stopping both enemies and incoming damage. Best Strategic Uses: Use the ultimate to "freeze" the enemy jungler right as the Lord or Turtle is about to be secured, preventing them from using Retribution. Since projectiles are suspended in his ultimate and resolve all at once when it ends, he synergizes perfectly with teammates who can stack damage into the field (like Beatrix or Vale).
Weaknesses
Despite his powerful control, Marcel has several distinct weaknesses that can be exploited by disciplined teams. Best Counter-Picks: Valir: His knockback and slow keep Marcel at a distance, making it hard for him to land his Skill 1 or get close enough for an Ultimate. Diggie: While Marcel's stasis is unique, Diggie's Ultimate provides the essential shield and CC cleansing needed to reset a fight after Marcel tries to initiate. Lunox: Her ability to become untargetable allows her to reposition or avoid the stasis field entirely while dealing massive %HP damage.
Phantom Stasis Specialist
This build reaches the 40% Cooldown Reduction cap very quickly. Because you have Pull Yourself Together, your Conceal active will be ready roughly every 68 seconds instead of 80, meaning you can set up ganks constantly. Tip If the enemy team has high HP regen or lifesteal (like Yu Zhong or Ruby), you might consider swapping Antique Cuirass for Dominance Ice to add anti-heal to your kit!

Battle Spell
Flicker: This is the most popular choice for Marcel. It allows you to reposition instantly for a perfect Ultimate (Golden Hour) or escape dangerous situations. You can also use it to surprise enemies with a Flicker + Skill 1 combo for an unexpected immobilization.

Laning & Rotation Precautions (Early to Mid) Don't Overstay: With Rapid Boots and Agility, your job is to be a "ghost." If a lane is stable, leave immediately. Your value is in the fog of war. Team Fight Strategies The "Pre-Freeze" Setup: Before using your Ultimate, cast Skill 1 in the direction you think the enemy will run. Because of Temporal Reign, the cooldown will refresh while they are frozen, allowing you to drop a second frame immediately after the Ult ends. Marcel's Pro Tricks The Retribution Denier: At Lord or Turtle, don't wait for the Lord to get low. Ult the Enemy Jungler when the Lord is at 3,000 HP. They cannot use Retribution while frozen, giving your Jungler a guaranteed 3-second window to secure the objective.
Best With Beatrix
This is Marcel's ultimate partner. When Marcel uses his Ultimate (Golden Hour), Beatrix can fire her Wesker (Shotgun) or Nibiru (SMG) Ultmates directly into the frozen field. All that massive damage is "stored" and hits the enemy simyltaneously the millisecond the stasis ends, resulting in an instant "one-shot" deletion.
Watch Out For Valentina
She can steal your Golden Hour. Because the stolen ultimate treats her as the "owner," she is immune to the freeze effect while inside. She can walk through your frozen teammates and execute them while they can't move.
