Overview
Core Buff: Always prioritize Purple (Blue) Buff to manage high energy consumption. Pathing: Start at Purple Buff - Lithowanderer - Orange Buff -Reach Level 4 as fast as possible. Invasion: Use shadows to safely steal enemy creeps and secure neutral objectives (Turtle/Lord) with Retribution Hayabusa excels at picking off backline squishies and split-pushing. His core mechanic relies on Quad Shadow for outplaying enemies and Ougi: Shadow Kill for invulnerable burst damage.
Strengths
Laning/Farming: Exceptional wave clear and jungle clearing speed. High mobility allows for safe counter-jungling and stealing enemy buffs using Quad Shadow. Team Fight: excels at backline diving. Can easily target and eliminate enemy Marksmen or Mages while remaining invulnerable during his Ultimate. Game Phase: Early/Mid: Strong snowball potential after reaching Level 4. Late: One of the best split-pushers in the game; can pressure lanes and escape any gank. Characteristics: High outplay potential, elusive movement, and massive single-target Burst Damage.
Weaknesses
Laning/Farming: Highly dependent on the Purple (Blue) Buff. Without it, his energy regenerates too slowly, making him nearly useless in extended fights. Team Fight: Vulnerable to Hard Crowd Control (CC). If stunned or suppressed (e.g., by Franco or Kaja) before casting shadows, he is very squishy and easily killed. Game Phase: Early: Weak before reaching Level 4; can be bullied or invaded by early-game aggressive junglers (like Martis or Thamuz). Team Fights: His Ultimate damage is split among multiple targets. He struggles in 5v5 clashes if he cannot isolate a single enemy. Characteristics: High skill cap (requires fast fingers and precise shadow placement). Very fragile (low HP) and punished heavily for any positioning mistakes.
top build .#1
Best build for Hayabusa. Hunter Strike helps to clear the jungle quickly, deal initial damage, and build the early game. War Axe improves survivability and provides spell vamp and true damage. Malefic Roar is a mandatory purchase in the current meta because tanks and fighters are the main problem for Hayabusa at the start. Then follows Blade of Despair, the core item for the hero, which maximizes damage output. Endless Battle fits this hero well by increasing total damage and true damage while enhancing survivability and movement speed.
FIRST DAMAGE
The Assassin Emblem set is the best choice for Hayabusa to deal with both tanks and squishy targets. Use Agility in the first tier for maximum movement speed to reach objectives and lanes quickly. Select Seasoned Hunter in the second tier to clear the jungle and secure the Turtle or Lord faster. For the core talent pick War Cry to boost your damage output by eight percent after landing basic attacks or skills. This setup provides the necessary mobility for ganking and extra sustained damage to eliminate any type of enemy hero during a fight.
Battle Spell
Flame Retribution steals Physical Attack from the opponent and transfers it to you. This significantly boosts your Ultimate burst damage while simultaneously weakening the target. Hayabusa gains a decisive advantage in duels against Marksmen and Mages because they lose a portion of their strength. Use the spell at the start of your combo so that all subsequent skills deal maximum damage. This is the best option for achieving peak assassin efficiency and quickly eliminating priority targets.
MID / LATE game
Hayabusa reaches his maximum potential during the mid and late game stages once he has his core items. Focus on split pushing lanes to create map pressure and force the enemy team to divide their forces. In team fights do not be the first to jump in. Wait for the enemy to exhaust their crowd control abilities then use your shadows to dive the backline and eliminate the marksman or mage. Always maintain your energy levels by securing the purple buff and use your ultimate strategically on isolated targets to ensure the full damage hits one hero. If the situation becomes dangerous use your shadows to instantly retreat and reposition.
Best With Grock

Watch Out For Franco
Hayabusa is at a huge disadvantage against Franco because of his suppression ultimate Bloody Hunt. This skill instantly locks Hayabusa in place and prevents him from using any shadows to escape. Franco is also a very tanky hero making it impossible for Hayabusa to kill him with a single combo. If Franco lands his hook or uses his ultimate during a team fight Hayabusa becomes an easy target for the entire enemy team. The only way to survive is to wait for Franco to waste his skills on someone else before jumping in.
