How to dominate with the Ice Queen; Aurora

Overview

As an Aurora user, I found myself rather drawn to this Ice Queen. She is severely underrated and underestimated. Having great Damage and Control skills but lack Mobility typically make this mage more susceptible to deaths but grands insane comeback capability with its Passive allowing Aurora to restore a moderate amount of HP to try outplay the enemy.

Strengths

Having burst potential, enemy poking, and ridiculous arount of stun that rivals tanks. She is great for targeting backlane heroes with her range-stun skills—effectively on Marksman, Mages, and Support.

Weaknesses

Her skills have such high cooldown makes her hard to have a proper fight with her opposing enemy in lane. Not to mention her skill relies on ranged attack which make her very vulnerable to melee heroes—often making her activate her passive unfortunately.

Burst and Stun

This set works best if you want to easily kill your enemies and stun them for 5-8seconds long. Easily rivaling a Tank's stun. - Make sure to be aware of the high skill cooldown. You could always sell the boots in the late game for another Holy Crystal. - You can also change Blood Wings for Winter Truncheon or Immortality once you lost your passive.

Cooldown and Support

If you are more onto Poking and Damaging your enemies for your teammates. This build work wonders if you use it right. It has capability to spam Poke and Stun acting like a Tank-setter but a bit squishy.

My Personal Build

Since many heroes nowadays are mostly Sustain and Healers. This build make sure those pesky heroes do not benefit much to recovery.

My Personal Emblem set.

Personally, this is my emblem. - l recommend Rupture for it provides Magic Penetration to not worry about enemies' Magic defense much. - You can use Wilderness Blessing to rotate around the map faster. - Impure Rage for extra damage and mana recovery.

Cooldown and Support

This is my build when I use Aurora as a roamer. - Inspire for cooldown and mana recovery. - Wilderness Blessing for rotation. - Impure Rage for extra damage and mana recovery.

Burst and Longer Stun

If you're into burst and long stun Aurora, this build is for you. - Thrill for more Magic Power due to its Adaptivity. Can still be change to Rupture if you want to have magic penetration. - Weapons Master to accumulate more Magic Power from Emblems, Equipment, and Talents. Or change to Master Assassin if you want to burst while relying on Ambushing enemies. - Lethal Ignition for damage overtime after bursting an enemy. Or change to Impure Rage for extra damage and mana recovery.

Battle Spell

I recommend Flicker to balance her lack of mobility. It also provide great counter and outplay capability—for easy distance from melee heroes and gapping close with long range heroes since her skills are medium range at best.

Early

Follow your Jungler to their first target, make sure to have your First skill and dump it to the creep to help them with their Jungling. Make sure to keep your distance from your opposing enemy. You can also Poke-bully them if you are confident enough at least. Rotate to any other lane that struggles against their enemy. Especially Gold if necessary.

Semi-Mid Game

Always assist your Jungle with the turtle. You should have your ultimate ready by then. Position yourself at the middle between your enemies and allies. Use your stuns especially to the enemy Jungler; note that you should still have your passive and flicker ready. This is the time where you are the dominator of the fight, you have the stun and damag, and set that enemy roamers still leveling up for. Be alert of the EXP laners.

Mid Game

This is the time where you should rotate frequently to other lane. As a Mage. You're the second roamer of the team.

Semi-Late Game

Be present to contest lord of your team can. Always make use of your ultimate at times where the enemy lord is at a low HP. This Ensures the core will be stunned, along with other enemies to try and secure the lord.

Late-Game.

Your build should be maxed out. Join teamfights. Protect your teammates when chased. Stun and Poke and Damage all you can. Enemies are typically are scared of Aurora this state of the game ba use of the Stun.

Best With Ixia

Having a wide Stun and Wide continuous range of damage that burst enemies all together sounds incredibly good for you and bad for enemies.

Watch Out For Lukas

Since Aurora rely on ranged attacks. Lukas is a nightmare for Aurora, having control immunity just makes it harder.
