Overview

Kagura is a unique spirit born from the deep longings and memories stored within the Seimei Umbrella, a magical artifact from the Cadia Riverlands. Found as an infant on a rainy day, she was raised by the Scarlet Shadow sect alongside her childhood friend Hayabusa, but she always felt a mysterious power that set her apart from their ninja ways. Eventually, she discovered that she is the personification of the umbrella's soul, carrying the unfulfilled wishes of those who passed before her. Now, she travels the world to experience the beauty of the mortal realm on their behalf, using her umbrella to manipulate Yin and Yang energy to protect her friends and defeat enemies. She is a top-tier burst mage who uses her umbrella to poke enemies from a safe distance and pull them into deadly traps. Her playstyle is unique because her skills change depending on whether she is holding her umbrella or has thrown it; throwing it slows enemies, while retrieving it grants her a shield and stuns nearby targets. Beginners should focus on her famous "1-3-1-2-3" combo: throw the umbrella (1), use the ultimate to pull them in (3), reposition the umbrella (1), dash in to stun (2), and trigger the second ultimate burst (3) to delete enemy health bars instantly.

Strengths

Kagura is a top-tier burst mage whose greatest strength lies in her incredible safety and high mobility. Unlike most mages, her second skill can remove crowd control effects, acting like a built-in Purify that lets her escape dangerous situations easily. She excels at "poking" enemies from a distance with her umbrella to slow them down, and her full combo can instantly defeat squishy targets. Her ability to check bushes with her umbrella and create a massive shield for herself makes her very difficult to kill.

Weaknesses

Kagura is very squishy and can be easily defeated if she is caught without her umbrella, as she loses her built-in "Purify" escape skill when the umbrella is away. Her biggest weakness is Suppression effects from heroes like Franco or Kaja, which she cannot escape even with her skills. She also uses a lot of mana early in the game, so if she runs out of mana, she becomes helpless. Additionally, her main damage combo is predictable and can be dodged by fast heroes with many dashes.

Full Burst Items

These are perfect for deleting squishy targets in one go. The Arcane Boots and Genius Wand give you massive early-game magic penetration, while the Lightning Truncheon and Holy Crystal provide the high magic power needed to make your umbrella pokes hurt. Finishing with Divine Glaive ensures you can still damage tanks with high magic defense, and Blood Wings provides a huge shield and extra speed to help you survive late-game team fights.

Burst Damage

For Kagura, you should use the Custom Mage Emblem to maximize your magic penetration and power. For your talents, pick Rupture in the first tier for extra penetration, Bargain Hunter in the second tier to buy your expensive magic items faster, and Lethal Ignition as your main talent to deal extra burn damage after hitting your full combo. This setup is the best because it makes your umbrella pokes much stronger and ensures that when you dive in with your ultimate, the enemy has very little chance to survive your burst.

Battle Spell

The best battle spells are Flameshot or Flicker depending on your playstyle. Flameshot is the most popular choice for beginners because it helps you finish off low-health enemies from far away and can push back assassins who try to jump on you. Flicker is better if you want to be extra safe or create surprise plays by flashing into range to start your combo. Some aggressive players also use Execute to ensure they get the kill during her full burst combo, but since Kagura already has great mobility, sticking with Flameshot will give you the most utility in lane.

Early Gane (Level 1 to 7)

focus on clearing your lane quickly and using your first skill to "poke" enemies from a distance to lower their health.

Mid Game (Level 8 to 12)

Once you have your core items like Lightning Truncheon, you should rotate to other lanes to help your team and use your full "1-3-1-2-3" combo to ambush lone enemies.

Late Game (Level 13+)

Stay behind your tank and use your umbrella to check bushes for danger. Your job is to wait for the right moment to dive in and delete the enemy Marksman or Mage instantly.

Best With Tigreal

She works best with teammates like Tigreal, Atlas, and Terizla, who can group multiple enemies together for her to hit with her massive area-of-effect ultimate.

Watch Out For Eudora

As she can easily poke Eudora from afar and dodge her stuns using her second skill.
