Overview

Granger is a Marksman hero known for his high burst damage and skill-based playstyle. He does not rely on attack speed but instead focuses on proper skill timing and accuracy. Granger is commonly played in the Gold Lane, where he can farm efficiently and pressure enemies. In team fights, he excels as a backline damage dealer and a finisher, especially with his ultimate skill, Death Sonata.

Strengths

High burst damage, especially in the early to mid game Strong at pick-offs and finishing low HP enemies Not dependent on attack speed items Effective at long-range poke damage Can carry games with good positioning and skill usage

Weaknesses

Vulnerable to crowd control and assassin burst No escape skill, making him easy to gank Requires good aim and timing Weaker in the late game if behind in farm Highly dependent on proper positioning during team fights

Spam

This build focuses on reducing cooldowns and increasing skill spam potential. Hunter Strike and Sky Piercer provide cooldown reduction and burst damage, allowing Granger to use his skills more frequently. Malefic Roar helps penetrate tanky enemies, while Sea Halberd reduces enemy regeneration. Rose Gold Meteor gives extra survivability with its shield, making this build effective in extended fights and constant poking.

Tank Melter

This build is designed to shred tanky heroes and frontliners. Malefic Roar and Blade of Despair provide high physical penetration and damage, allowing Granger to deal massive burst even against high-defense enemies. Endless Battle adds true damage and sustain, making him effective in prolonged fights. Tough Boots improve durability against crowd control.

Burst

This build maximizes Granger burst damage to quickly eliminate squishy heroes. Blade of the Heptaseas and Sky Piercer enhance early game pressure and skill burst. Endless Battle adds true damage after skills, while Blade of Despair greatly increases overall damage output. This build is best for fast kills and snowballing the game.

Marksman Emblem (Burst, Poke)

I chose this emblem because it suits Granger skill-based burst playstyle. The Marksman Emblem increases his poke and damage, while Impure Rage adds extra adaptive damage and helps him use his skills more often, making him stronger in early to mid game fights.

Battle Spell

Flicker is the best battle spell for Granger because he has no built-in escape skill. It helps him quickly reposition during fights, escape from ganks, or chase enemies when needed. Flicker is especially useful for maintaining proper positioning in team fights and avoiding crowd control from assassins and divers. Using Flicker offensively allows Granger to surprise enemies and secure kills with his skills or ultimate. Defensively, it provides a reliable way to survive dangerous situations and reset positioning after casting Death Sonata.

Early Mid Game Power Spike

Maximize farm efficiency and apply constant pressure using skill-based poke. Maintain optimal positioning, track enemy cooldowns, and rotate early for objectives. Capitalize on Granger burst damage to secure picks and snowball the game.

Best With Granger

80% co-op win rate

Granger synergizes well with heroes that provide strong crowd control, initiation, and frontline protection. Tanks and supports that can lock enemies in place allow Granger to safely deal burst damage from the backline. This synergy helps Granger land his skills and Ultimate more effectively during team fights.

Watch Out For Khufra

100% counter win rate

Khufra is a hard counter to Granger due to his ability to disable mobility and apply heavy crowd control. His Bouncing Ball skill prevents Granger from using his dash effectively, while his crowd control makes it easy to lock Granger down in team fights. Granger struggles to reposition and deal damage when pressured by Khufra.
