Overview
Nolan,a top-tier assassin in the 2026 meta due to his unparalleled mobility and "cleanse" ultimate. Unlike other energy-dependent heroes, Nolan relies on Rift detonations for energy recovery, making him a "calculating" assassin. This guide will focus on maximizing his rift placements to dominate the early game.
Strengths
With his low cooldowns and high base damage from Rift detonations, Nolan is one of the fastest jungle clearers in the game. He can usually hit Level 4 and gank before the enemy jungler has even finished their second buff. His Ultimate, Fracture, is a rare "get out of jail free" card for an assassin. It removes all debuffs (stuns, slows, etc.), allowing him to dive deep into enemy lines and escape safely.
Weaknesses
Without the Purple/Blue Buff, Nolan struggles significantly. If the enemy team invades and steals his buff, his threat level drops by 70% because he cannot sustain his combos.Nolan becomes very fragile in the late game. Once enemies buy Antique Cuirass or Winter Crown, he can no longer one-shot them, often leading to him getting burst down before he can retreat
Core Build
Ice Hunter's Tough Boots: Reduced CC is vital for assassins. Blade of the Heptaseas: Synergizes with your passive dash for huge burst. Hunter Strike: For the movement speed boost and CDR. Malefic Roar: To shred tanks in the late game. Blade of Despair: for highest physical damage Sea healberd: can also be immortality it's situational last item
Physical Penetration and Energy Management
Thrill: For early game raw power. Seasoned Hunter: Essential for fast Jungle/Lord clears. Lethal Ignition: To finish off targets after your rift burst.
Battle Spell
As an Assassin Jungler, Retribution is mandatory for Nolan to secure objectives and clear the jungle at high speeds.
Early, Mid
Early Game: Strategy: Focus on Nolan's insanely fast jungle clear. Start with Skill 1 at 0:15 to have a rift ready for the buff at 0:20. You can finish your Blue and Red buffs much faster than most junglers, allowing you to invade the enemy jungle or gank as early as Level 2. Always secure your Blue Buff immediately; without it, your energy management is much harder and your kill potential drops significantly. Mid Game: Strategy: This is Nolan's strongest phase. Use your mobility to rotate constantly between lanes. Use Ice Retribution to slow enemies, making it easier to land your Skill 1 + Skill 2 combo. Look for "out-of-position" mages or marksmen. Engage with your passive dash, burst them with your ultimate, and use Skill 2 to immediately dash away before the enemy team can react. Late Game: Strategy: Be careful, as Nolan impact can fall off if enemies build defense. Avoid being the first one to jump into a team fight. Instead, wait for the enemy to use their main Crowd Control skills before diving.
Best With Tigreal
100% co-op win rate
can group enemies together into one spot. This allows Nolan Rifts to hit multiple targets at once, triggering massive AoE damage and instantly refilling his energy bar.
Watch Out For Khufra
100% counter win rate
Khufra Bouncing Ball skill completely stops Nolans Skill 2 and passive dash. If Nolan is knocked up while trying to dash, he is usually killed instantly.
