Strengths
Faramis is one of the heroes that can deal a massive damage during team fights and can be an actual setter of the team if you timed your first skill perfectly and pull many enemy heroes. With that, Faramis strength really depends on how many the enemies, that's why he can also clear lanes faster compared to other mages. Another thing about Faramis is he just don't deal massive damage, he can help the whole team avoid burst attacks with his ultimate, which makes him a very reliable hero during team fights.
Weaknesses
The weaknesses and disadvantages I encountered when I play Faramis are his ultimate and his capability to fight against high hp heroes. About the ultimate, yes, you can save your teammates when they are low in hp but if the temporary hp breaks, there is a short immobilization to your team which enemies can use to kill your teammates, that's why you need to perfectly timed your ultimate before their low health so that they will have time to escape once the temporary hp breaks. Another thing is his capability against high hp heroes, when Faramis was cornered by a high hp hero he was having a hard time to fight back, especially when there's an enemy backup, that's why you need to stick with your teammates.
High cooldown and burst damage
This is the items that I use so that I can spam the first and second skill and to deal a huge amount of damage.
Extra movement speed, fast itemization and continues damage.
For the emblem talents, I use agility to have extra movement speed and rotate faster, I also use bargain hunter to buy items faster and lethal ignition for continuous damage and to also secure kills.

This can be use to escape, surprise pull your enemies and to rescue your teammates with your ultimate faster.

When I use Faramis, I often use him as a setter and help my teammates to avoid being burst out in team fights. The flicker is a great choice for Faramis because you can surprise your enemies using your first skill and flicker and pull them near to your teammates. You can also use Faramis to zone during objectives using you first skill so that you can pull the enemies away from the objectives. Faramis can also disrupt enemies skills like Pharsa. For his ultimate, when your teammates are having a hard time in team fights, use it so that they won't get burst, you can also use it in advance when you know that the enemies will apply crowd control on your team because expect that when there is a crowd control, there's a damage following that controls.

Use the ultimate of Carmilla first to link the enemies and follow up with Faramis first and second skill to burst down the enemies because Faramis based its damage on how many the enemies and Carmilla link those damage to the entire enemy team.
