Freya is very strong in the current meta and she is usually picked to counter claude. she works very well in the gold lane because of the ult that increases her range and many dash skill gained from 1st skill
Strengths
Very strong in the laneing phase and big range provided by the ult and many dashes. Freya is very good at chasing down and diving enemies in gank due to her 1st skill and ult .
Weaknesses
Freyas main weakness is she can be shutdown by multiple chain cc

Fliker is the most common used spell for freya because of the escape and outplay abilities. But if their is too much cc on the opponent side you can change to purify.
Laning phase
Freya is very dominant in the early due to her 1st skill which helps to clear lane fast and very powerful in 1v1 fight because of the 1st skill that keeps resetting if her basic atk hits creeps minions or hero.
Late game
In the late game she can dive into the back line with her ult and chase enemies down with het 1st and 2nd skill . Freya is also very good in the gank due to her ult that enhances her basic atk to splash dmg that can hit multiple enemies ( she can be burst down easily if she is caught so before entering the team fight let enemies use their stun skills)

Mathilda works very well with freya because of her strong heal and escape skill with Mathildas second skill . Mathilda can both initiate fights with ult and save freya from dangerous situations.
Watch Out For Minsitthar

Minsitthar is by far the best counter for freya because of his ult which disables all dash skills and continuous stun from his passive
