Overview
Ruby is one of the best hero for goldlane in current meta, her passive gives her free hybrid defense & mobility, enabling her to sustain more during laning phase. Utilise her first skill to last hit minions within safe range, play safe before War Axe is purchased.
Strengths
- Good poking range - Low skills cooldown - high cc - her ult + flicker combo is very good at targeting backlines
Weaknesses
Her primary weakness is playing against heroes with high cc, such as valir, fred, phoveus etc. which can prevent her from maximising her skill casting frequency. She is also weak against hit & run - heroes, such as irithel, granger, lylia
Late Game ( Winning Team )
When Ruby is in the winning side, she is able to kill squishy heroes in one combo
Late Game ( Losing Side )
If Ruby is in a losing side, purchasing sustain item is a must to let her survive in a war longer.
Early-Mid Game
Skypiercer might be controversial, however her frequent skills casting range & ability + true damage from war axe and endless battle allows her to melt any heroes, making skypiercer a suitable choice for Ruby.
Early-Mid anti-Burst build
Rose gold's passive was patched recently by increasing hybrid defense based on extra physical attack, having this build can prevent her from dying to burst type heroes easily.
Balanced sustain + damage
5 physical penetration + furry hammer (12 physical penetration) is enough to penetrate most marksmen defense during early game Festival of blood is used to enhance her spell vamp War cry is used for an aggressive approach when poking the enemy during laning phase
Battle Spell
Use flicker for surprise attack, as well as escaping from a war.
Crab for extra gold
Use her ult to get crabs for extra gold, her ult damage is high compared to most goldlaner, using it for the crabs can guarantee a gold lead
Counter for Charge heroes
Her second skill can counter most charge type heroes, e.g. Badang, Guin, Sora etc.
