Overview

Amid the windswept Agelta Drylands, Sora is a free-spirited boy who commands ever-shifting clouds around his fists-sometimes roaring with lightning, sometimes forming dense shields against the desert's wrath. Drawn by an unending thirst for adventure, he ventures into forgotten ruins in search of mystery, yet when drought and despair threaten the land, people know he will arrive on the wind, bringing life-giving rain. Now, as he travels the ancient Emerald Road, Sora carries both rain and hope to every corner of the desert and to every tribe in need. Sora is an ideal EXP Lane hero with exceptional flexibility. In his normal form, before unlocking his ultimate ability, he can comfortably hold the lane against almost any opponent. Thanks to his balanced skill set, Sora trades safely, clears waves efficiently, and does not lose pressure in early laning phases. Once Sora reaches level 4, his true potential is unlocked. From this point, his gameplay becomes much more dynamic, allowing him to adapt to the team's needs. With his ultimate ability, Sora can choose between playing as a frontline tank and initiator, or switching into a high-damage executioner capable of eliminating key enemy targets. This transformation makes Sora extremely valuable in rotations and team fights. He can lead engagements by absorbing damage and controlling enemies, or take a more aggressive role by diving into the backline and finishing off carries. Mastering when and how to change roles is the key to playing Sora effectively.

Strengths

Strong laning phase in the EXP Lane, capable of holding the lane against most matchups. Gains a massive power spike at level 4, unlocking flexible playstyles. Can function as a frontline tank and initiator or switch into a burst damage dealer depending on the situation. Effective in team fights thanks to crowd control and survivability. High impact in mid game skirmishes and objective fights when played correctly.

Weaknesses

Relatively dependent on level 4 to unlock full potential. Requires good decision-making to choose the correct form and role in fights. Can be punished by heavy crowd control and coordinated focus fire. Less effective when behind in gold or experience. Mistakes in positioning are heavily punished, especially when playing the damage-oriented role.

Base

Tough Boots are recommended when facing teams with heavy control, providing essential resilience during engages. War Axe is the core item for Sora, offering both damage and survivability. It is especially effective in extended fights, where Sora can fully stack its effects and maintain strong pressure. Queen's Wings provides a powerful early-to-mid game boost, significantly increasing survivability and forgiving minor positioning mistakes while enhancing Sora's impact in team fights. Dominance Ice greatly improves defensive stats while applying anti-heal, making it an extremely important item for team fights, particularly when Sora initiates and absorbs damage from multiple enemies. Brute Force Breastplate and Oracle are more situational choices. Brute Force enhances mobility and control resistance, while Oracle increases defensive sustain and synergizes well with spell vamp and healing effects.

Very good start

Rapid Boots are chosen to maximize mobility, allowing Sora to rotate faster across the map and increase snowball potential through constant pressure. War Axe remains the most important core item for Sora in both hybrid and tank-oriented builds, providing sustained damage and durability. Queen's Wings synergizes perfectly with War Axe, offering survivability and allowing more aggressive plays during early and mid game fights. Hunter Strike significantly boosts mobility and greatly increases Sora's kill potential, enabling quick engages, chases, and escapes. Malefic Roar is essential for armor penetration, increasing damage output especially against tanky frontline heroes. Rose Gold Meteor provides a balance of damage and hybrid defense. Its shield effect, combined with Queen's Wings, forgives many mistakes and allows Sora to survive burst damage despite running a high-attack setup.

EXP Lane

The emblem setup focuses on movement speed, spell vamp, and skill-based healing. Extra movement speed improves Sora's mobility, allowing him to rotate faster and be present in more fights than expected. Spell vamp and healing provide comfortable laning sustain and greatly enhance his survivability during extended team fights, enabling Sora to stay active longer and fulfill his role more effectively.

Battle Spell

Flicker is the most important battle spell for Sora. It allows instant repositioning, enabling unexpected engages and significantly increasing the effectiveness of his crowd control. By combining Flicker with his abilities, Sora can initiate fights from unpredictable angles, catch multiple enemies off guard, and fully unlock his team fight potential.

Early to Mid-game

Sora's dominant phase is the early to mid game, where his versatility allows him to control the pace of the match. After reaching level 4, Sora gains access to multiple playstyles, enabling him to either frontline for his team or aggressively hunt key targets. This flexibility makes him extremely effective during early skirmishes, rotations, and objective fights. In a typical match, Sora should focus on securing a stable EXP lane until level 4, then begin applying pressure through rotations. After clearing the wave, he can assist the mid lane, contest jungle camps, or support objective fights such as Turtle. During this phase, Sora excels at forcing skirmishes and controlling key areas of the map. By maintaining lane pressure and rotating efficiently, he helps his team gain map control, snowball advantages, and set the tempo of the game before the late game begins. One of the strongest team fight synergies is Sora combined with Chip's portal. Chip allows Sora to bypass vision and positioning limits, creating sudden and unexpected initiations. This strategy is especially powerful around objectives, where Sora can instantly engage multiple enemies with crowd control, forcing chaotic fights in his team's favor. In standard team fights, Sora should look for moments when enemies group up or overextend. Using Flicker or portal-based engages, he can initiate fights, absorb early damage, and create space for his damage dealers to follow up. Proper timing and patience are crucial to maximize his impact. Thanks to Sora's exceptional versatility, he enables a wide variety of creative and powerful hero combinations. His ability to both initiate and deal damage allows him to synergize well with heroes like Eve, or Grock, whose terrain control and durability amplify Sora's engage potential. These synergies open up numerous strategic options, from aggressive pick-offs to coordinated team fight setups, making Sora a flexible centerpiece for man

Best With Chip

100% co-op win rate

One of Sora's strongest and most reliable synergies is with Chip. Chip's portal enables Sora to bypass vision and positioning, allowing for sudden and unexpected full-commit initiations. This combination is especially deadly in coordinated team play, where Sora can instantly engage multiple enemies with crowd control, forcing decisive fights around objectives and key map areas.

Watch Out For Valentina

80% counter win rate

A major counter to Sora is Valentina, as her ability to steal his ultimate significantly reduces his impact and can even turn his greatest strength against his own team. In general, Sora struggles against compositions with heavy crowd control. Like most initiator fighters, being locked down by chain CC prevents him from switching forms effectively or executing clean engages, making coordinated control-heavy teams particularly difficult to play against.
