Overview

Benedetta, known as the "Shadow Ranger," is a highly mobile assassin/fighter hero who excels at chasing down and bursting enemy heroes. She uses a katana called "Alecto" and her gameplay style is very fluid due to her passive, Elapsed Daytime, which allows her to dash frequently by holding the basic attack button. Her role is generally in the EXP Lane or the jungle.

Strengths

High Mobility and Agility: Benedetta can outrun most opponents with her numerous dashes and pass through walls, making her difficult to catch and excellent for roaming and escaping. Damage Immunity & CC Protection: Her second skill, "An Eye for An Eye," provides temporary crowd control (CC) immunity and damage blocking. If she successfully fends off a CC effect, she can stun the enemy. Strong All Game: She has high early-game damage and can remain effective throughout the match, capable of one-shotting backline heroes if played well. Wave Clear: She can clear minion waves very quickly using her first skill and ultimate, allowing for fast rotation and lane cutting.

Weaknesses

High Skill Ceiling: Benedetta is one of the most difficult heroes to master and requires significant experience to play effectively, with one mistake often leading to being eliminated. Vulnerable to Suppression: While she has CC immunity, she is not immune to suppression effects (e.g., from Franco or Kaja's ultimates). Squishy: Despite her mobility, she is relatively squishy and can be burst down quickly if caught without her defensive skills ready or if focused in a team fight. Countered by Sustain/DPS Heroes: Heroes with high sustainability (like Yu Zhong) or rapid, continuous damage (like certain marksmen) can be difficult matchups for her, especially if they can survive her initial combo.

Battle Spell

Petrify is the top choice for Benedetta because it allows you to stun enemies, which is essential for ensuring her high-damage combos and ultimate attack land effectively. This spell provides crucial crowd control that complements her aggressive, mobile playstyle.

tipsy

Early Game Prioritize Level 4: Benedetta has very high damage potential early on and shines after reaching level 4 with her ultimate. Lane Control and Rotations: Utilize her mobility to clear waves quickly, often "cutting" the minion wave behind the enemy's turret if it's safe. Use the extra time to rotate to the mid lane or jungle to help secure objectives like the first turtle or gank enemy heroes. Poke and Escape: When in lane against strong sustain heroes, focus on poking the enemy and quickly escaping using your passive or Skill 2 to avoid taking sustained damage. Master the Passive: Constantly hold the basic attack button while moving between actions to keep your Sword Intent charged and ready to dash at any moment. Mid Game Be a Playmaker: This is where Benedetta is often at her strongest. Look for opportunities to flank isolated enemy squishy heroes (mages and marksmen) and burst them down with your full combo. Team Fight Engagement: Coordinate with your team and use the Petrify battle spell along with your ultimate to lock enemies down, allowing your team to follow up with burst damage. Objective Focus: Use your high mobility to quickly move between lanes, destroy turrets, and help secure the Turtle and Lord. Late Game Careful Engagements: Benedetta can be more vulnerable in the late game if focused by high-damage enemies. Wait for enemy primary crowd control skills to be used or for a tank to initiate before going in. Target Selection: Your main objective is still to eliminate the enemy backline (mage, marksman, or assassin). Use your Skill 2 wisely to block crucial CC or damage and ensure you don't get shut down immediately. Split Pushing: If a team fight is not ideal, use your lane clearing abilities and speed to split push other lanes and create pressure across the map.
