Positioning is mandatory as this hero is squishy with low mobility.
Piercer snowball
If the enemy lineup is not tanky then is build is optimal. Early purchase of sky piercer gives an advantage and help stack early.
Tanky piercer
With this build it's easy to counter tanky heroes

The attacks scales with the stacks you gather. Can finish squishy enemies with one shot in late game
Battle Spell
Can be used either to push back or chass the enemy for secure kill if the enemy's health is low
Early game
Try to keep a distance from the enemy. As cecilion can pull the enemy with his second skill it's also provides stun damage, combine with the first skill provides effective damage. Then chase with the third skill to finish enemy.
Late game
As the heroes passive stack increased above 300 it can easily eliminate squishes with skill 2 and then skill 1 combo. There's no need to push with skill 3. With sky piercer if the enemy tries to escape and has low hp, use the ultimate, let the flying orbs hit the enemy, it will eliminate them easily.
