Overview
Sora is a versatile Fighter/Assassin who uses a unique dual-form mechanic. By swiping his Ultimate, he can switch between Thunder Form for high-speed assassin burst or Torrent Form for tanky crowd control. Mastering the timing of these shifts allows Sora to adapt to any combat situation.
Strengths
He can function as a high-damage assassin or a durable frontliner depending on the form chosen. In Thunder Form, his Max HP contributes to his damage, allowing for a "tanky but deadly" build. In Torrent Form, he provides reliable knock-ups and stuns to disrupt the enemy team.
Weaknesses
Reliant on Stacks: He needs to build Cloudstep stacks to unlock his "True Art" potential, making him weaker if he can't stay in the fight. Vulnerable to Suppression: Heroes like Franco or Kaja can stop his transformation and dashes mid-combo.
Tanky/Damage
Sora's passive, Mystic Surge, is the core of his gameplay. It allows him to switch between Thunder Form (Assassin) and Torrent Form (Tank) by swiping his Ultimate. In Thunder Form, Sora converts 30% of his Max HP into Physical Attack at a 10% ratio. This unique mechanic is why building HP items like Guardian Helmet and Cursed Helmet is essential; they don't just make him tanky, they directly increase his burst damage. Meanwhile, in Torrent Form, he converts Physical Attack into Max HP, making him an immovable frontline initiator. The hybrid build of War Axe and Brute Force Breastplate is recommended because it provides the Cooldown Reduction and Spell Vamp needed to sustain through long team fights while constantly cycling through his nine different abilities."
Sustainability
Insane Sustain (Spell Vamp): Because Sora has so many skills (especially when switching between Thunder and Torrent forms), Festival of Blood is essential. It allows him to heal back a huge chunk of health every time his abilities hit an enemy, making him extremely difficult to kill in 1v1 or 1v2 situations.
Battle Spell
Use this to pull off surprise initiations or to escape when caught in a bad spot. It perfectly complements his Torrent Form ultimate to pull enemies from a further distance.
Early to Mid Game Snowball
Focus on clearing waves quickly using your AoE skills to reach Level 4 as fast as possible.Once you have your Ultimate, rotate to the Gold Lane to provide crowd control and burst damage for your Marksman.Stay in Torrent Form while traveling through the river for extra durability in case of an ambush, then switch to Thunder Form once you initiate a fight.

Sora works best with 'Setter' tanks who can group enemies together. When a teammate like Tigreal lands a multi-target ultimate, Sora can immediately follow up with his high-damage AoE skills in Thunder Form to wipe out the entire enemy team. This combination of heavy CC and Sora's burst damage makes it nearly impossible for enemies to escape once they are caught in the initial set.

Sora is a strong counter to high-mobility assassins because of his reliable crowd control in Torrent Form. He can easily interrupt their dashes and lock them down, preventing them from completing their combos. On the other hand, Sora is countered by heroes with Suppression, such as Franco or Kaja. These heroes can stop Sora mid-dash or mid-transformation, leaving him vulnerable to being bursted down by the enemy team.
