Overview

Sora is a fighter assassin hero in Mobile Legends Bang Bang designed around adaptability and form switching. He excels in extended skirmishes and team fights where he can continuously deal damage to build stacks and transform into stronger combat states. Sora uses the power of clouds and storms allowing him to shift between an offensive burst oriented form and a durable control focused form depending on the situation. Skills Overview Passive Mystic Surge Sora gains Cloudstep stacks whenever he deals damage to enemy heroes or their summons. When he reaches the required number of stacks he can activate his ultimate to transform. After transforming Sora gains enhanced effects and stronger versions of his skills allowing him to either deal higher burst damage or become more durable in fights Skill One Sundering Strike Sora performs a sequence of physical attacks in front of him dealing damage in multiple hits and finishing with a forward lunge. This skill is his main damage source for trading in lane and triggering his passive stacks. After transformation this skill gains additional effects depending on the chosen form such as increased damage or added crowd control Skill Two Windstride Sora leaps to a target area dealing physical damage and slowing enemies hit. Successfully hitting enemy heroes reduces the cooldown of this skill allowing Sora to reposition frequently during fights. In transformed states this skill becomes a stronger engage or control tool enabling Sora to disrupt enemy formations or chase fleeing targets Ultimate Shifting Skies When Sora has enough Cloudstep stacks he can activate his ultimate to ascend and choose a combat form. One form focuses on high burst damage and mobility making Sora function like an assassin. The other form focuses on durability and control allowing him to act as a bruiser in team fights. The chosen form enhances all of Sora skills and defines his role for the duration of the transformation.

Strengths

Hero Strength - High combat adaptability Sora excels because of his ability to shift forms depending on the situation. This allows him to adjust his role during fights whether focusing on burst damage or sustained presence. This flexibility makes him difficult to predict and effective in both small skirmishes and full team fights - Strong dueling and skirmish power Sora performs very well in one versus one and two versus two situations. His skill kit rewards constant combat which allows him to gain stacks faster and unlock his full potential earlier than many heroes. This makes him dominant in lane pressure and river fights - High mobility and chase potential With multiple movement based skills Sora can easily chase low health enemies or disengage from dangerous situations. This mobility allows him to rotate faster across the map and apply pressure on multiple lanes - Powerful mid game spike Once Sora gains enough items and understands proper timing of his form switching he becomes very strong during the mid game. He can secure objectives disrupt enemy formations and punish poor positioning consistently - Strong synergy with coordinated teams Sora shines most when played with teammates who can provide crowd control or vision. His strengths increase greatly when enemies are forced to fight on his terms allowing him to maximize damage and control during engagements

Weaknesses

Hero Weaknesses - High Skill Dependency Sora relies heavily on correct timing, positioning, and form selection. Misusing his skills or transforming into the wrong form at the wrong moment greatly reduces his impact in fights. - Vulnerable Before Form Transformation Before reaching full Cloudstep stacks, Sora is noticeably weaker and easier to punish. Aggressive enemies can exploit this window to deny him farm, pressure his lane, or force unfavorable trades. - Susceptible to Hard Crowd Control Strong crowd control effects such as suppression, knockups, and chain stuns can completely shut down Sora. Being locked down prevents him from stacking his passive and executing his combo smoothly. - Risky Engagements Sora often needs to dive deep into enemy formations to maximize damage and disruption. Without proper team support, this playstyle can lead to overextension and quick elimination. - Cooldown Reliance Once his core skills and ultimate are used, Sora becomes significantly less threatening. Enemies who survive his initial burst can easily turn fights against him while his abilities are on cooldown. - Scaling Requires Momentum Sora performs best when he maintains consistent pressure and momentum. Falling behind in levels or gold makes it harder for him to transition into a dominant mid or late game presence.

SORA BUILD

Sora scales off both damage and survivability, especially because his skills and ultimate benefit from Max HP and attack stats. The recommended items focus on damage, sustainability, cooldown reduction, and durability to maximize his potential in both Thunder (assassin burst) and Torrent (bruiser / crowd control) forms. 1. Warrior Boots Provides extra physical defense and movement speed. Helps Sora survive early lane trades and get into position for engages. Early durability is important since he often dives into the enemy team. 2. War Axe A core item that increases physical attack and provides stacking true damage. Boosts both damage and sustain as Sora fights and stacks multiple hits. Synergizes well with his Mystic Surge stacking playstyle. 3. Endless Battle Offers lifesteal, cooldown reduction, physical attack, and a true damage passive after using a skill. Great for Sora because it enhances his combo output and sustain mid game. 4. Hunter Strike Grants physical attack, cooldown reduction, and a movement speed bonus after hitting enemies. Cooldown reduction allows more frequent form transformations and skill usage. Helps chase or disengage, which is key for burst and control. 5. Brute Force Breastplate Adds HP and physical defense with a stacking passive that increases movement and adaptive attack. Great for Sora because it improves survivability without sacrificing damage. Works well especially if you want to play a Torrent form bruiser style. 6. Queen's Wings Increases HP and provides a huge lifesteal/ damage reduction shield when Sora's HP is low. Reduces cooldown when injured, allowing another transformation or skill usage. Helps sustain in team fights.

SORA EMBLEM

EMBLEM Assassin Emblem Talent 1 Rupture Talent 2 Weapon Master Talent 3 War Cry This emblem setup is ideal for Sora because it fully supports his burst oriented and aggressive playstyle. Rupture provides additional physical penetration which helps Sora deal stronger damage early and mid game, especially when trading in lane or during skirmishes. Weapon Master increases the effectiveness of physical attack gained from items, allowing Sora to scale better as the game progresses and making every damage item more impactful. War Cry synergizes perfectly with Sora's combo based skills since it boosts damage after consecutive hits, which matches his fast skill rotations and form switching mechanics. Overall, this emblem maximizes Sora's kill pressure, snowball potential, and effectiveness in extended fights once he commits to an engage.

Battle Spell

Execute is the most effective battle spell for Sora because it perfectly complements his burst oriented and form switching playstyle. Sora relies on timing and precise engagements to finish enemies after weakening them with his skill combos. Execute allows him to secure kills instantly on low health targets especially during Thunder Form where his damage output peaks. This spell removes the risk of enemies escaping with small amounts of health which is a common issue for melee fighters and assassins. Execute also helps Sora snowball early by guaranteeing eliminations in skirmishes and lane fights giving him faster momentum and pressure across the map.

QUICK TIPS

Maximize Cloudstep Stacks: Always prioritize hitting enemy heroes and jungle monsters to build Cloudstep stacks quickly. Reaching 5 stacks allows you to transform into Thunder or Torrent form, which is crucial for engaging fights effectively. Form Selection Matters: Assess the battlefield before using Shifting Skies. Use Thunder Form for assassination and high mobility, and Torrent Form when your team needs a bruiser or frontline presence. Skill Combos: Chain Sundering Strike then Windstride then Shifting Skies for maximum burst. Hitting multiple targets reduces cooldowns, allowing you to repeat combos. Positioning is Key: Sora excels at flanking. Avoid diving straight into the enemy team unless your ultimate is ready. Use walls and terrain to your advantage for ambushes. Objective Control: Use your mobility to rotate quickly between lanes and help secure Turtles, Lord, or buffs. Sora's versatility allows him to pressure objectives while maintaining lane presence. Monitor Cooldowns: Always track your transformation ability and skill cooldowns. Effective timing can mean the difference between a kill or getting countered.

STRATEGY

Early Game (Minutes 0-5) Focus on farming and stack building in the jungle or lane. Prioritize hitting minions and jungle monsters to build Cloudstep stacks efficiently. Assist teammates in skirmishes with Windstride to slow enemies and secure kills. Avoid unnecessary aggressive plays until you have 5 stacks and can safely transform into Thunder or Torrent form. Vision control and warding are important for safe rotations. Use mobility to gank lanes when an opportunity arises. Mid Game (Minutes 6-12) Begin participating in team fights and objectives like Turtles and turrets. Choose form wisely: Thunder Form for fast assassinations of priority targets; Torrent Form to initiate or peel for allies. Use Sundering Strike + Windstride combos to poke and disengage effectively, minimizing risk. Roam between lanes to apply map pressure, forcing enemies to react and creating opportunities for your team. Late Game (Minutes 13+) In teamfights, Sora is at his peak power when transformed. Use Thunder Form for burst assassination of backline squishy heroes or Torrent Form to disrupt enemies and peel for teammates. Focus on chaining crowd control and damage in coordination with allies. Target enemy damage dealers or carries first. Position carefully around objectives like Lord or base pushes. Your mobility allows you to make split second rotations between fights or escape dangerous engagements. Always monitor your Cloudstep stacks, as frequent form transformations are key to maintaining pressure and adaptability.

Best With Alice

100% co-op win rate

Alice synergizes with Sora because her Blood Ode and Blood Awe provide lockdown and AoE damage that allow Sora to safely stack Cloudstep and transform without getting interrupted. While Sora dives into the backline in Thunder Form, Alice can peel for him or root enemy carries, making his assassination attempts more effective. Additionally, Alice's tankiness and sustain in teamfights complement Sora's bruiser Torrent Form, allowing the team to stay alive during prolonged skirmishes.

Watch Out For Chou

20% counter win rate

Chou can punish Sora's aggressive plays because Jeet Kune Do and The Way of Dragon isolate him from his team. Sora relies on mobility and positioning to execute combos, but Chou can interrupt his form transformations, preventing him from completing assassinations or sustained damage. Chou's kit makes diving risky, forcing Sora to play more conservatively than usual.
