Overview
kagura is a hero that is difficult to master and can be very intimidating for new players who find her mechanics confusing. however once you know the tricks to manoeuvre her skills, it can be both easy to play and counter her.
Strengths
kagura may seem an annoying hero but people overlook her early game too much, to be realistic she is just a poke mage especially in the first to three minutes, there is not much to do with skill one and two. that is why its better to level up to level 4 the quickest way before rotating, that way you can start being a problem to the enemy.
Weaknesses
In this current meta, kagura is one of the strongest mages but in higher ranks she is very easily countered because of her vulnerability of second skill. It is crucial that kagura has her second skill otherwise she will just be eliminated in a second.
Burst
This is perfect to burst all squishy heroes + goes hand in hand with the mage burst emblem. Glowing: perfect if there are enemy healers (note; if there are no healers/ sustain heroes on other team switch to genius wand for extra pen.) Divine Glaive: pen Holy: extra magic power Lightning: poke/ burst Wings: magic power
Tanky
These are solid burst items solely for tanky heroes. Glowing: a MUST. stops healing regen and burning effect divine: pen Talisman: cdr, you need to spam first skill + quicker skill cooldowns Wishing: extra magic damage and goes so well with the talisman Blood wings: shield + movement speed
for squishy
This is the typical burst emblem set IF the enemies are mostly squishy/ easy to kill. Mage emblem for the extra magic pen, rupture (also extra pen), weapon master to one shot, and lethal ignition as the great finisher in case the enemy is really low.
for sustain + tanky enemy comp
This is my typical go to set for higher ranks, people tend to pick more sustain and tanky heroes. Assassin emblem is perfect for the extra movement speed, you want to run around and poke the enemies because sometimes you will not be able to one shot. Bargain hunter and impure rage are a must because you need the items as quickly as possible and again to run around and poke the enemy.
Battle Spell
a perfect spell to add in her ultimate/ other combos. also a finisher if the enemies are low and far distance
Best With Guinevere

My duo is a GUIN main and safe to say she is the best at setting with guin (flicker ult 5 man) and that is an auto wipe out if kagura and GUIN synchronize together. All you need is a good jump from GUIN and kagura will take no time to wipe all enemies inside her ult. Kagura also works very well witb any tanks that are capable of stunning multiple enemies at once and preferably closer and that will guarantee you a victory.
Watch Out For Lunox
100% counter win rate
the only lunox counter! all you need is petrify and ult her and lunox will be eliminated. kagura is more than capable of killing lunox even without her using her light ultimate
