Overview

Sora is a versatile Fighter/Assassin who dominates the battlefield by manipulating the weather. Originally from the Cadia Riverlands, Sora uses his unique "Shifting Skies" ultimate to transition between a high-burst Thunder form and a high-durability Torrent form. He is best played in the EXP Lane, where he can safely farm his core items before becoming a multi-form menace in mid-game team fights.

Strengths

Sora greatest strength lies in his adaptability. He can flex between a backline diver (Thunder) and a frontline initiator (Torrent) depending on the team's needs. His "Cloudstep" passive provides immense early-game sustain in lane, allowing him to out-trade most opponents. In the late game, his True Art abilities provide massive AOE Crowd Control and burst damage that can turn the tide of any objective contest.

Weaknesses

Sora is highly dependent on stack management; if he is caught with zero Cloudstep stacks, his impact is significantly reduced. He is also vulnerable to Hard CC (like Suppression) while in his base form, which can prevent him from shifting into his defensive Torrent form. Additionally, his early-game damage is relatively low until he reaches Level 4 and unlocks his transformation mechanic.

Semi Tank

This build maximizes Sora 'Mystic Surge' passive by balancing Physical Attack and Max HP. Hunter Strike and War Axe are the core engines of this build, providing the Cooldown Reduction necessary to frequently switch forms and the raw power needed for his Thunder form burst. Brute Force Breastplate is highly effective on Sora because he cycles through skills rapidly to gain Cloudstep stacks, allowing him to maintain maximum defense stacks easily. Finally, Oracle is chosen to synergize with Sora high HP regen and the shield gains from his Torrent form, making him an unkillable frontline force during the late game.

Full Tank

The 'Eternal Torrent' build is designed for players who want Sora to be an unmovable wall on the frontlines. By stacking Guardian Helmet and Thunder Belt, Sora maximizes the HP-to-Damage conversion from his passive, allowing him to deal respectable damage even while building full defense. This build turns his Torrent form into a CC machine that can absorb massive amounts of punishment while slowing and disrupting the entire enemy team. Dominance Ice is included to ensure that Sora can effectively shut down enemy marksmen and healers during long objective contests

Tanky

The Fighter Emblem is the optimal choice for Sora because it provides a balanced mix of Adaptive Attack and Extra Max HP. These stats are crucial for his passive, which converts HP to Attack in Thunder form and Attack to HP in Torrent form. By using Festival of Blood, Sora gains the necessary Spell Vamp to survive aggressive dives, while Brave Smite ensures he stays healthy during long trades in the EXP lane. This set maximizes his 'Shifting Skies' versatility, making him a threat in both offensive and defensive stances.

Battle Spell

Choose Vengeance if your team needs you to act as a primary initiator. When you dive into a team fight and shift into Torrent Form, activating Vengeance makes you incredibly difficult to kill while reflecting damage back to the enemy. This synergy with his Max HP conversion makes Sora an unstoppable tank in the late game.

Sky-High Lane Dominance

Focus on safely clearing minions in the EXP lane to reach Level 4 quickly. Use your base form's Skill 1 to poke opponents and build Cloudstep stacks without overcommitting. Avoid aggressive trades if your stacks are low, as you are most vulnerable before you can shift forms.

Mid Game (The Shifting Roamer)

Once you have your core items, rotate to the mid-lane or Turtle to help your team. Look for "squishy" targets like enemy Mages or Marksmen to dive using your Thunder form burst. Always try to enter a fight with at least 3 stacks ready so you can immediately trigger a True Art ability upon transformation.

Late Game (Team Fight Initiator)

In large 5v5 team fights, prioritize staying in Torrent form to act as a secondary tank and provide massive AOE Crowd Control. Protect your teammates by using your CC skills to peel away enemy assassins. If you find a late-game opening on a retreating enemy, quickly shift to Thunder form to secure the kill with its high mobility.

Best With Tigreal

100% co-op win rate

Sora works exceptionally well with AOE tank initiators like Tigreal or Atlas. When these teammates group enemies together with their ultimates, Sora can unleash his Torrent form True Art skills to chain-CC the entire enemy team, or use Thunder form to instantly burst down the gathered targets. This combination ensures Sora can build his Cloudstep stacks safely while the enemies are incapacitated

Watch Out For Kaja

80% counter win rate

Kaja is a 'Hard Counter' because of his Divine Judgment. Sora relies on building Cloudstep stacks to unlock his True Art, but Kaja can suppress Sora and drag him into the enemy team before he can reach those 5 stacks. Since Suppression cannot be removed by Purify, Kaja effectively prevents Sora from shifting into his defensive Torrent form or using his Thunder dashes to escape. In a team fight, Kaja can pick Sora out of a crowd the moment he tries to engage, making it impossible for Sora to complete his skill combos.
