Overview

Freya, the Valkyrie, is a Fighter hero in Mobile Legends Bangbang (MLBB) who specializes in Charge/Burst damage. She is #22 hero in MLBB which was initially released in November 2016. The revamped Freya was recently released on November 5, 2025. Her revamp has given her the ability to constantly use her dash skill and ultimate to deal massive AoE (Area of Effect) damage, making her a formidable initiator and damage dealer in team fights. She relies heavily on her Sacred Orb passive stacks to chain her skills. ⚡[ FREYA'S SKILLS ] ✨[ Passive Skill ] Power of Einherjar: Her Basic Attacks grant Sacred Orbs (max 6 stacks) and also grant a temporary Attack Speed boost after casting any skill, encouraging Basic Attack weaving. Sacred Orbs fuel her Skill 2 (Spirit Combo), allowing consecutive dashes without cooldown. ✨[ SKILL 1 ] - Leap of Faith: Freya leaps to a target area, dealing damage and briefly pulling enemies towards the center, which is excellent for initiation and isolating a target. ✨[ SKILL 2 ] - Valkyrie Slash: Freya dashes forward, dealing damage, and slowing enemies. This skill has no cooldown but consumes 2 Sacred Orbs per cast. ✨[ ULTIMATE ] - Valkyrie Descent: Freya dives down to the target which slows the enemies in her path and enters the Valkyrie state. Her basic attacks deal splash damage with bonus damage and recover HP for 12 seconds. ⚡[ SKILL LEVEL PRIORITY SUGGESTION ]: 1. Max the Skill 2 FIRST. 2. Always upgrade ULT immediately at Level 4, 8, and 12. 3. Get Skill 1 at level 2 and Max it at the LAST part. Lvl 5-15: Prioritize ULT > S2 > S1 ⚡[ SKILL COMBOS ]: Freya's main strength is her ability to constantly use her Skill 2, so the key is always to manage your Sacred Orb stacks by Basic attacks 1. Ganking/Chase: S2 > Basic Atk (1-2x) > S2 > Basic Atk >S2 2. Initiation/ Burst: S1 > S2 > S2 > ULT > S2> Ranged basic atks 3. Instant Teamfights: ULT > S1 > S2 (3x) > S2 > Ranged basic atks

Strengths

Here are the main strengths that Revamped Freya brings: 1. High Sustained Mobility and Damage: Her Skill 2 combined with her passive allows for constant, low-cooldown dashes. This makes her excellent at chasing down low-HP targets and repositioning during fights. 2. Strong Teamfight Initiation and Area of Effect (AoE) Control: Her Ultimate (Valkyrie Descent) gives her an instant power spike with a massive shield and turns her Basic Attacks into ranged splash damage, allowing her to easily dive the backline and hit multiple enemies. 3. Effective Shield and Sustain: She gains significant shields from her Ultimate and her Skill 2 dashes (upon max stacks) which scale with her Physical Attack, making her surprisingly tanky when diving a full team. 4. Excellent Turret Damage: Her high Attack Speed and Physical Attack scaling, especially when combined with the Inspire spell, allow her to melt turrets quickly, making her a formidable split-pusher and objective taker.

Weaknesses

1. Extremely Vulnerable to Hard Crowd Control (CC): Her reliance on chaining skills (S2 dashes) and Basic Attacks makes her highly susceptible to heroes who can stun, suppress, or interrupt her (e.g., Minsitthar's Ultimate, Kaja's Ultimate, or Chou's Ultimate). If she is locked down mid-combo, she dies easily. 2. Weak Against Anti-Shield/Anti-Heal: Heroes or items that punish shield/sustain (like Esmeralda or Sea Halberd) greatly reduce her durability, as her survivability relies heavily on her shields and lifesteal. 3. Orb Management Dependent: Her potential drops sharply if she cannot maintain her Sacred Orb stacks (by weaving Basic Attacks between skills). If the team fight is chaotic and she can't hit a target, she runs out of dashes and becomes a sitting duck. 4. Item Dependent: Freya needs her core damage and attack speed items (like War Axe and Corrosion Scythe) to reach her power spike. She can feel quite weak and squishy in the early game compared to other EXP laners if she falls behind in gold.

EQUIPMENT FOR REVAMPED FREYA

[ TOUGH BOOTS ] -Best for Freya to reduce the duration of enemy Crowd Control (CC) effects, and provides magic defense. -This is essential because CC is Freya's biggest weakness when diving [ WAR AXE ] -Provides Physical Attack, Cooldown Reduction, and a damage-over-time stacking effect, perfect for extended fights. [ CORROSION SCYTHE ] -It gives Freya Attack Speed to generate her Sacred Orbs faster. -Its Basic Attacks slow enemies, making it hard for them to escape. -The slow hits multiple enemies when her Ultimate is used. [ ENDLESS BATTLE ] -Provides a mix of Physical Attack, Lifesteal, and a True Damage proc after a skill, which fits her Skill 2 > Basic Attack pattern. [ SEA HALBERD ] -It provides good Physical Attack and Attack Speed stats. -Its passive cuts enemy healing and shield effects by half. -This counters high-sustain enemy heroes. [ MALEFIC ROAR ] -Essential for piercing high-defense targets (Tanks/Fighters).

OPTIONAL/SITUATIONAL ITEMS

[ IMMORTALITY ] -Standard late-game defense item for a second life in critical team fights. [ ROSE GOLD METEOR (RGM) ] -Its passive grants a life-saving shield when her HP drops low. -This shield allows Freya to survive a mage's burst or a tricky initiation. It is vital for emergency defense and sustain during high-risk dives. [ BLADE OF DESPAIR ] -It gives the highest raw Physical Attack in the game. -This massive attack stat greatly increases the size of her shields (from her Ultimate and S2). -It lets Freya secure fast kills and quickly snowball the game. [ SKY PIERCER ] -It gives a huge boost to her Critical Damage, maximizing her Basic Attack hits. -This allows her critical Basic Attacks to shred through enemy HP bars faster. -It makes her a threat even to high-HP tanks and fighters.

EXP ROLE: SUITABLE CHOICE FOR AGGRESSIVE REVAMPED FREYA

This setup is chosen when the player wants to maximize Freya's burst potential and snowball aggressively. Tier 1: Thrill (Adaptive Attack) -This remains the top choice because her primary damage source is Physical Attack. -Thrill provides reliable, early-game damage and survivability. Tier 2: Weapon Master (Physical Attack from Equipment) -Freya builds several high-Physical Attack items (War Axe, Blade of Despair). Weapon Master amplifies the Attack stat from these items, leading to significantly higher damage on her skills and Basic Attacks, a stronger shield, and better overall scaling into the late game. This is the optimal choice for maximum damage output. Tier 3: War Cry (Basic Attack Boost) -perfectly synergizes with her core damage mechanics, especially when she activates her Ultimate and uses the Inspire Battle Spell.

JUNGLER ROLE: OPTIMAL CHOICE FOR REVAMPED FREYA

The use of the Common Assassin Emblem with those specific talents is rooted in maximizing Freya's burst potential, rotation speed, and snowballing ability. Tier 1: Thrill (Adaptive Attack) -Provides a boost to your Adaptive Attack stat (Physical Attack in Freya's case) at all levels. -Freya's damage output is almost entirely Physical. More importantly, the shields she gains from her Ultimate Skill and her Skill 2 scale directly with her Physical Attack. This talent provides a straightforward, reliable buff to both her damage and her survivability. Tier 2: Seasoned Hunter (Damage to Creeps/Lord/Turtle) -Significantly increases the damage dealt to jungle creeps, the Lord, and the Turtle. -Freya's high Attack Speed and Ultimate make her fantastic at securing objectives. Even as an EXP Laner, having this talent allows her to secure the Lithowanderer/Gold Crab much faster and melt the Turtle/Lord when the opportunity arises, accelerating her team's gold and experience lead. Tier 3: Killing Spree (The Snowball Talent) -Recovers 12% of Max HP and gains 15% Movement Speed for 5 seconds after securing a hero kill. -Sustain/Dive Reset: Freya is an all-in hero. After diving the backline and securing a kill, her HP is usually low. -Chase/Escape: The 15% Movement Speed boost is vital for her. It allows her to quickly reposition, chase down the next low-HP target for a double kill, or run away from the danger zone after successfully making the trade.

Battle Spell

[ INSPIRE ] The most common spell. It massively boosts her Attack Speed for a short duration, allowing her to quickly stack Sacred Orbs and maximize her damage, especially while in her Ultimate form. [ FLICKER ] Useful for an alternative engagement (Ult > Flicker > S2 Knock-up) or for a last-second escape. [ RETRIBUTION ] Used if played in the Jungle role, which is a viable option for a fast snowball.

EARLY GAME (Level 1-6)

Focus on Farming: Freya is a strong duelist but benefits greatly from getting her core items. Focus on clearing the EXP lane and securing the Lithowanderer. Stack Orbs: Use your Basic Attacks to constantly keep your Sacred Orbs stacked to at least 2-4. This lets you use Skill 2 once for a shield/slow when needed. Power Spike: Hit Level 4 and gain your Ultimate. Use the Ultimate > S2 > Basic Attack combo to dominate your lane opponent.

MID GAME (Levels 7-11)

Rotation is Key: After securing your turret or forcing the enemy EXP laner to recall, rotate to the Mid or Gold lane. Initiate Skirmishes: Freya is a great initiator. Look for opportunities to use S1 to pull a squishy enemy or setup for your team, then immediately activate your Ultimate. Secure Objectives: Use your high damage and Inspire to melt the Turtle or turrets quickly.

LATE GAME (Levels 12-15)

Wait for CC/Disengage: Freya can be easily burst down if she goes in first against a full team with CC. Wait for your Tank/Support to initiate or for the enemy to use their primary CC skills. Target Backline: Once the fight is underway, use your Ultimate > S1 > S2 Combo to dive past the front line and eliminate the enemy Marksman or Mage. Positioning: Use the ranged Basic Attacks from your Ultimate to deal damage from a safer distance while still hitting multiple targets with the splash damage.
